GMC now has solid off-road AT4 and AT4X models of both the midsize Canyon and the full-size Sierra. The full-size Sierra AT4X costs nearly twice as much as the base Canyon AT4 though, so...do you get twice the truck for the money? They're also not really collectible. They should depreciate normally compared to TRX and Raptor/Raptor R. They won't be special at an auction. Full-size trucks over 70k are still weird to me. I have no idea why I would do that.

Agreed, I'd take two Canyon's vice one AEV. I just don't see the value in the AEV add-ons. Even comparing the straight Sierra AT4X @ $81.7K vs. the Canyon AT4X @ $57K, I would go Canyon. I can do a lot with an extra $25K. The only reason not to is the need to carry five people more comfortably or the need for more cargo/towing. For a most constant off-roader's, not a common occurrence. Not saying it doesn't, just not as common.

@@christophertyacke6019 so my point is, not only does *gm* offer the most luxury, tech, and comfort for your money but they boast the most innovative and useful features as well. The development costs for something like the Sierra’s Multi-Pro tailgate vs. RAM’s “barn door” 🤔 is night and day. The same with *gm’s* choice of developers for software. They’ve been going above and beyond with attention to detail, graphics, and animations. They were the first to integrate Google services straight into their mainstream trucks/vehicles, the others just recently catching on. So it’s just hilarious how you guys allow TFL to gaslight you into opening your little investigations into *gm.* The value is there and has been there for some time now. I mean the ram had 22 interior accent lights and the interior and dash lights have seperate control knobs. My denali has 4 interior accent lights with zero control. My ram dash and door panels were leather...my denali yukon they are plastic. Until GM or Ford hires someone from a luxury car brand to redesign their interiors, they will always be just average plastic truck interiors with a few nice surfaces.

Offroad trucks have become like boats, RVs and general aviation just stupid. The typical ordinary modest options of years past, hd frame, shocks, lift, protection, lockers, knobbies, recovery points and fog lamps are marketed with a great deal of vanity and priced for only stupid people. Maybe $3000 worth of gear on the production line doubles the cost to the consumer. It is easy to see why GM is going broke. The marketers see customers as rare brain dead prey.

problem with GM front lockers is they only work in 4L (atleast in zr2/at4x canyon), and the g80 is a better option IMO, lasts forever and kicks in automatically when needed. and then there is the lifter issues on 5.3/6.2 still not addressed. Aside from engine note, love my '24 at4 canyon. sad, the 5.3/6.2 were amazingly reliable until the emissiosn garbage was stuff into them, the 2.7 was designed around it with less to fail..time will tell. Unions and tarrifs are diving these costs up to the point people just wont buy them. Something like the BYD Shark from China is going to gut the big 3 mid size truck market if it ever gets into the big 3 markets.

While the country is dying with inflation, google the prices of cars and trucks 10 years ago with inflation! Manufactures double or more the inflation rate! GMC, FORD, etc don’t make anything other than specialty vehicles that can be sold for these ridiculous prices!

I never understand the point of these videos. You're talking about vehicles (and prices) that very few people can afford (Sierra AT4X/AT4) and a vehicle that most people are to smart to buy (Canyon @ $50k).

I’d take the AT4X non AEV. Never would do a midsize. Too small & I want my truck to sound like a truck. I like Nathan, but he’s super clunky doing video reviews.
