The puzzle is Qb5+ Kc7 Ne8 (double-check) and checkmate because the king can't move OR Qb5+ Nc6 Qxc6#.
@swankimanАй бұрын
1st option: you do not go Ne8 or he can take the knight and escape. you simply go Ne4#, Nc4#, or Nf7#.
@BrrveC-hessАй бұрын
Its double check so you cant
@austinford6663Ай бұрын
@@swankiman he can't take both the bishop and the knight, right?
@MattrickBTАй бұрын
@11:55 it's even dirtier because instead of capturing the queen with the bishop, you can royal fork with the knight, taking the queen, but also preventing castling.

The answer to the puzzle should be Qb5+, black cannot block with Nc6 because Qxc6 will be a dove tail checkmate, so black is forced to play Kc7, which walks into a discovered check by the f4 bishop, and Nxf7+ will wins black's queen
@user-ej7sr3ow8bАй бұрын
Just checked with stockfish, Ne8# after black plays Kc7 is even better

Puzzle: White Nxf6 forking the Q and R, black moves Qe8 moving the queen to a safe square, White goes Qe6#. Black can't capture the queen because it's supported by the pawn, can't move away because the dark sqaured bishop is hitting c7, and the safe square e8 is now taken by the queen.
@polytropos1.1Ай бұрын
5:40: White should play Qc5+, forcing the king to Kc7 where it is vulnerable to a discovered check from the bishop, Kf7, which allows white to win the black Queen.
@PotatoChess-we7rjАй бұрын
you meant queen b5 check
@eclecticexplorer7828Ай бұрын
The puzzle was easy today. Qb5+. Black's only moves are Nc6 (which is met with Qxf6#) and Kf7 (Ne8#). I have been playing the Modern Benoni, which responds to white's d5 with e6. I have done reasonably well with it, but looking at Lichess/Stockfish, I see that the Benko Gambit is both the top engine move and a better performer in practice. In the Lichess Masters database, both are won by white much more often than by black, but I am not playing masters. I filter the database for players closer to my level, and it is basically even with e6, whereas black wins 53% of the b5 games, compared with just 42% for white.

Puzzle of the day : Qb5+ Kc7 (only way) Horse xf7 + (by Bishop dicover) if you like eating the Queen But Horse e8 finish the game with double check mat !!
@chesslover8829Ай бұрын
I like this opening. It's aggressive and a lot easier to play than something like the King's Indian, which is too complex for someone of my ability. Thanks so much for sharing.
