I can’t believe they named a Mobile Suit after James Gunn

I remember where the attacks are. Its a former research colony of Zeon during the war owned by Garma Zabi. It was later been forgotten because Garma will lead the North American Campaign and was completely abandoned when Zeon started to lose the war. Its was rediscovered when both federation and crossbone vanguard went to investigate with the said reports of attacks. Its located somewhere between two sides (Forgot which ones) near a route that connects both of them.

Surprised there wasn't any mention of the F-Saviour or J-Saviour considering the F-Saviour is essentially an upgraded Freedom and the J-Saviour while not being an official GM is clearly related to them.

James Gun inspired one of my favorite from late UC the Gun-Ez, such a cool little grunt. The Freedom is also pretty interesting with it's ties to the Saviour team and the development in the Gundam!

There’s one little problem here: the Nemo, Jegan, Heavygun, Jamesgun, Javelin and their variants aren’t members of the GM family: they are Anaheim Electronics designs. Case in point, check the MSA-120 in the wiki and check the gallery and you can see how they keep swapping exteriors, in this case the very zeon looking MSA-120 LITERALLY started as a Heavygun. No need to explain the Gerbera Tetra I suppose, though it’s worth noting that the MSA-003 Nemo was produced as a result of AEUG soldiers disliking the Zeonic exterior of the MSA-002 Marasai, resulting in the rather fast creation of its rather similar performing, GM look alike sibling. While we have no direct confirmation of the Nemo being a Marasai with GM skin, the evidence does at least points in that direction, specially when you consider what kind of profits AE would make by selling MS to the two sides of a conflict, while seeking to have them share as many parts as possible to further increase those margins! The real question would then be: what are the other members of the family then? The FD-03 Gustav Karl, designed by the SNRI, is the first that comes to mind. This early on the SNRI can’t beat AE in production capabilities, but as seen with the Loto, some of their earlier designs are already being produced in small quantities. And here comes the real surprise: the Barzam. Despite it very odd exterior, the Barzam was supposedly created by the EF as a cheap replacement for the GM II, and is specifically said to cost only 50% more than one as a direct comparison, which makes it sound as quite the deal considering that unlike the GM II it has Gundarium alloy and a movable frame. Also, it is designed to be able to use equipment from both the GM II and Hizack in order to further reduce costs, while having performance comparable to the Nemo and Marasai. These are some of the reasons that the Titans end claiming it for themselves, specially since doing so means not having to depend on AE for their Marasais. This does come with a cavebeat that you can notice in the series as it progresses: the Titans initially get lots of Barzams, but by the end of the series they become scarce among their forces, and the explanation seems to be that after Quattro’s speech at Dakar, Jamitov used his political position to stop the EF from withdrawing their support from the Titans, but once he is killed, the EF quickly does so, resulting in the Titans losing access to more Barzams. So there you go, aside from the GM 1-3, and their variants, only the Gustav Karl & Barzam can be actually considered part of the GM family (despite appearances).

I believe the Jamesgun is the descendent of the GM and Jegan.
