Yeah, I was happy with the version we submitted for the jam, but this new update is on a whole new level. 👍

I used to think letting the jam games exist as they were was the best thing to do. But then I was just leaving a broken trail of half finished projects behind me. 😅 So I decided I would go back and either fix bugs/polish up game jam games, or delete them if they couldn't be saved. 😅

I feel like the older dice had a better color choice and a better size, the animatiom was way more satisfying then the new one, idk if it's just me, but that old one just had such a charm, that was my favorite part of the game. Still, you managed to make the game a lot better good job!

This is great! Can I suggest adding a Double Down option to War? Just so there's *some* gameplay to it. Also you could have the music start on full, then go to level 1 once you enter the dungeon.

We talked about a bunch of different ways to do the music, but it all felt wrong. 🤔 We figured that playing the full music at the beginning and then pulling back would make it feel like something was missing for the rest of the game. I do like the idea of adding some game play to war, cause yeah.... right now it's just pure RNG. 😅

@@HelperWesley I should've guess you'd already thought of that! You could maybe do higher/lower instead- if you have a limit of five cards then functionally it'd be the same as blackjack just with a different win/lose condition so you could even spice up redjack.

@@PuppetSquid Ooooh. Higher/lower is a really good idea. It's still pretty rng based, but the player still gets to choose something instead of just pressing "continue". We won't be going back to the game soon, cause we're all exhausted from making it so quickly. But if we go back to update the game again I might make that switch. 👍

I sadly won't be able to submit a game for the GDevelop game jam mostly because I forgot about it 😅😢 and when I seen what I had done with the game the characters where pixelated and not very smooth idk how to fix it, it was blurry because I used a monster maker thing and so I'd have to redo all of that, but I wish I wasn't so distracted :( and I already know my friend isn't going to be happy because I was supposed to do this as a way of that I learned something but I guess I still need practice :) Edit: game looks better but I do miss the old Dice Edit2: I'm playing the game rn and I got spin the wheel and right has it started I lost 😂

As you started you lost? 😕That's a new bug. Maybe clicking as the game scene began? 🤔 Sorry to hear about your jam game, but at least you learned something. As long as you learned something, then it wasn't a waste of time, and you'll do better next time. 👍

I just use a laptop I picked up on sale. Running windows. 🤷‍♂ I'm not much a tech person. I usually pick my buys based on what my co-workers or friends tell me is good. 😅

I bought a new laptop recently and it runs it just fine. My old laptop was almost a decade old and it ran gdevelop. Though it was a little slow. 😅

To be honest, I played the healer when I used to play MMOs. 😅 But now my job is to create tutorials and teach people how to use the game engine that I use. sooo..... Now it kind of makes sense again. 😅
