I second this, and really encourage people to pick one person and follow them for swing improvement. Don't allow too many cooks in the kitchen .

I reckon that's a critical key. It's fine to watch and learn from instructional videos but I also too believe you need to find a decent instructor and stick with him/her. Because watching 20 different PGA teachers, will possibly end up with 20 different instructions on how to "fix" the same flaw.

Go get an in person lesson and go to the range more than the course. If the guy gives you a whole new swing.. you may have wasted your money.

Ever since I discovered your channel my iron game has increased massively. I love how you’re not too technical and rely more on feeling a certain motion. Because a lot of times people on youtube will tell you a million positions you’re suppose achieve at specific parts but mever really can tell you what to feel while in motion. For some reason you’re the only guy I can understand and actually feel what you tell me to feel.

It's just fantastic. I've read at least 20 other comments and agree with them all. I have commented before on your style of teaching and demonstrating. The problem you create is that it is difficult to find superlatives to describe your video and audio teaching anymore. I have been watching several other golf video training people lately, and Danny, you are the best. You really do have a God-given talent to communicate much in very few words, plus your demonstration is simple and direct and understandable. Incredibly useful for all levels of golf talent and ability, in the same lesson. Jason Fox is a great student and is humble , also. I still love to see your Dad in lessons, however. Here I am at 7:30 am on a Sat. morning after a night out to a golf club pub to have a few and listen to some music, and the first thing I do is watch a Danny Maude video. You never disappoint. You and Jason made me smile during your session as though I was there with you witnessing the improvement. The only other golf videos I will watch now are the late, great Mow Norman. Thank you, Danny and keep up the great work. Thanks, Mr. Fox for sharing your session. Good luck to you. I'll be watching

Makes this look easy but what happens to me is that loosening my shoulders and wrists also tends to loosen my lower body too and I end up swaying and bringing back the inconsistency. The other side of the coin is that it is easy to stay loose on the driving range but so much harder on the course.

Yes! So weird how this video came up. I just got back from golfing, and this was my only swing thought today. Just relax, and feel the club swinging. I normally get too wrapped up in positions, and swing thoughts. This always creates tension, and feels like I’m trying to guide the club, which is a killer in the golf “swing”. I shot even par 72 today, and struck the ball beautifully. No chunks, no skulls. I just needed a couple more putts to fall. Great video!
@jamiesloan7259

@@kbrown4ou Danny’s teaching is unique. He teaches task, and intention. Most instructors teach positions, and technique. A great way to feel an effortless golf swing is to grab your 4 longest irons and just swing them back n forth, around yourself on an arc. Full backswing, to a full follow through, and back to full backswing over and over. The weight of those 4 clubs together won’t allow you to manipulate them with tension. You’ll naturally swing them on the perfect arc, and plane. Your feet will engage as the perfect braking system, as weight transfers. Your hips, and shoulders will turn, and work properly. Your forearms will naturally roll, as intended. And, your hands, and wrists will even work like they’re supposed to.

Tension has been my biggest battle. Trying to kill it... as my dad used to tell me, and he was a caddie back in the 40's, but would say, Ronnie, quit trying to kill it, you're swinging too hard... He has always been right about everything as you have Danny.. I know when I hit a bad shot it is from being too tense. I set up to the ball and get my stance adjusted and then just drop my shoulders and relax and do my best not to grab the tension in the back swing. It causes fat, thin and horrible mishits for me. Your instructions are simple and straight forward and easy to understand. Thanks for your dedication and help in improving our game...

Took this to the course tonight after having a rough time hitting every iron shot aside from my 9 iron thin, fat, or in the wrong direction. This tip completely fixed my swing and I was happy with almost every iron shot from my 5 iron through 7 iron. This is an amazing rip please try it!

Man there's nothing better for the mental part of the game than learning something, putting what you learned into practice, and immediately seeing the positive effects.

At the beginning of the video, I thought "No Way", but you REALLY brought his swing around to hitting pretty good shots! 👍

Great lesson mate. As a swing coach I always strive to find what clicks with each student. What drives home the change. You’ve done that here.

Oh Danny boy the greens are calling 🎵🎶- this is exactly what my coach has told me over and over relaxation is directly connected to my swing. Just played my first 18 holes - I shot an 82- first time! Maybe beginners luck but, after 2 years of learning to relax I think that is the key! Thanks and keep these videos coming very helpful!!!🇨🇦👍

Danny, I’m new to golf, last time I played was 2 decades ago. I’ve really struggled with certain elements of my game and your videos are quite superb. A session today at the range and my chipping was so much more controlled after watching one of your videos. Foxy is a good mate of mine. The challenge is on….!!

@@DanielMaude I wish I knew you were in Canturbury. I was in the UK for six weeks last summer, and spent a couple of days in Canturbury. I played Prince's Golf Club, but would have been better off taking a lesson from you!

Always remember my first golf lesson, my teacher told me to relax the grip a little. “You don’t strangle the club”. He said, “ how do you grip a hammer or trowel at work. Next day at work I thought how I gripped my trowel. I never appreciated how lightly you hold hammers / trowels. That’s the one thing I always try to do especially putting is to remember to relax and breathe especially when the pressure is on. Another great lesson Danny.
