"Treat yourself like someone you loved" and that's where I started crying. I just went through a breakup where I believed I wasn't enough and I wasn't worth it. It's hard to not find your validation in someone else's eyes, but it's so satisfying once you find your own inner worth. Thank you for this

I feel you bro my ex broke up with me for another guy a little bit more then 2 months ago and it still hurts but by far not as hard. Cause it did one thing and that is working on my self I started doing sports changing my diet doing drivers lessons I go to school again and I am generally trying to get what the teachers are saying my arm almost never is down in a lesson no matter which Subjekt and after all this time I can finally say, I am very proud of my self. I can finally FINALLY start improving because I let my self try out stuff I mean yeah it still hurts when I think about my ex and it most likely always will but at least I can say I love my self because I worked for my self.

But there is always room for improvement. Don't lie to yourself and neglect your mistakes, telling yourself that you are perfect when you're not. Because you wouldn't lie to someone you love, right? There is nothing bad about admitting that you can treat people better, that you can loose some weight because it may affect your health, that you can give up bad habits, smile more, be more social etc. Work on your mistakes and you will love yourself more and more every day.

I think you are missing the point, that every imperfection in someone is what makes them perfect, that you would rather have someone you love be imperfect because THAT is perfect in itself rather than be perfect, never make a mistake, because mistakes are what make those good moments even more perfect.

The fixation on relentless improvement (self-improvement no less) is a decidedly American thing and reflective of our hyper-consumerist culture.
@circehelen
@circehelen 3 жыл бұрын
“ _You are who you’ve been looking for._ Stop looking for more unless you’re looking in a mirror because it’s about time for you to see clearly that you are who you’ve been looking for. And that empty feeling you got, that hole in your chest? You only got that feeling because you think you’re not blessed with everything you need. You see, we live in a consumerist society, which means they need you to buy stuff. And the easiest way to sell it is to tell you you’re not enough. _Buy this car, you’ll get girls_ _Buy this bra, you’ll get guys_ And we’re seeing it so much that we start believing these lies but the truth is; the make up they’re selling you to feel prettier is the same make up you buy to stop feeling shittier about this lie they keep telling you. _That you are not enough._ And what about the movies we watch, all the shows on TV? The more I watch the more I see I need you to complete me. And yes, love is the answer, love is the key but if you can’t love yourself, how could you ever love me? And loving yourself, what does that even mean? Like massages and selfies and that sort of thing? Because the more I think about it the more it feels weird; I've always been taught that self love was something to be feared, I’ve been taught that arrogance is bad and vanity? It’s not good. And even my bracelets are telling me to act how Jesus would. So what should I do? How should I act? I'm supposed to love myself but how do I even do that? Well I got a trick that I picked up from a friend, who noticed that I was quick to defend, her when she would say something negative about herself. She'd say, “I'm so dumb.” I'd say, “You're so brilliant.” She'd say “I'm so weak.” And I'd say, “You’re so resilient.” And when she said, “I feel ugly.” And I said, “You look beautiful.” She asked me why I was so dutifully filling up her cup constantly and yet treating my own cups so irresponsibly? Because when I looked in the mirror, my voice was quite clear; “You're ugly, you're too thin, your hairline’s receding, you got a pimple on your chin.” And that was when she gave me a piece of advice that changed my life. She gave me a hug and she said, “Treat yourself like someone you loved.” _Treat yourself like someone you loved._ Now I had been standing but I need to be sitting because I couldn't believe that I had been letting myself keep forgetting that I was who I had been looking for. And deep in my core I knew it was time to stop looking for more until I could look all through my fear and look into a mirror and see clearly, that the man looking back at me was the only one who could make me happy and I'm already enough. And I'm not any more special or unique than you. That's why I'm here to speak to you. _You are already enough._ And when you start to see that, you will be that, your world will get brighter, your load will get lighter and you see that with life you can be a lover not a fighter. And that life; you deserve it. Because you're worth it And there is no point in letting yourself keep forgetting because no matter what you say or do; You are perfect. And so today I hope I leave you with a direction, correction away from the flaws you see in your reflection; They aren’t flaws to me, they’re simply protection against all the doubts you have of your perfection. So start today. Take a good look of yourself in the mirror. And say, “I’m who I’ve been looking for.””

I think for most the hardest part, once ppl accept its ok to luv themselves is knowing the difference between loving themselves as opposed to being selfish...many confuse the two....as well as confusing arrogance with confidence...not the same thing at all.....Well done everyone! Well done!

So Powerful... I am a Personal Development coach. And I teach men it's not about the money or things you buy or own... she wants to connect with you but you need to connect with your - "Self" first so she can connect with your "self". Once you learn how to connect with yourself, others can then connect with you! Once you truly Love yourself then and only then can others love you. If you can't Love your "SELF" how can you possibly Love someone else??? Be compassionate towards yourself because then others will see that you can also be Compassionate with them... Love to you All... 💕

I liked this video and i sell cars. Helping people find a car they actually like and assisting them in a way to get to and from work/running family and kids where they need to be/errands/doctor's appointments/etc is not only a sense of pride in a good day at work, but joy when they drive away with a big burden lifted i helped them with. Not every car salesman/woman are sleaze bags. The spirit of this video was supposed to be positive. Way to be negative.

This clip is from the 2017 Life is a Playground event by Kyle Cease. Kyle is a comedian and transformational speaker and Adam Roa was in the audience of this event. Just before this clip, Adam was telling Kyle how he is used to preforming to audiences of 50-10 people, but that he would love to preform infront of larger crowds. However, he feels like he can't because he doesn't know the right people or have the right connections. Kyle was saying how the connection to ourself is the only connection that truly matters and then he invited Adam onto the stage to preform his poem. I was just watching the event and when I saw Adam, I remembered seeing this clip a couple of years ago. Its so amazing to see how just a few moments before he walked up onto that stage, Adam was so unsure and insecure in his own ability. If anyone is interested, I really recommend watching the whole event. You can find it on Kyle Cease' official page and it is truly life changing. Much love to everyone ❤

There wasn't even dating back then, only courting. You know why relationships today don't last long? It's because dating came to us. The idea that we can leave when we can sounds good, BUT IT IS MORE DAMAGING THAN WE CAN EVER IMAGINE AND WE DON'T EVEN SEE IT. Put dating in the trash bin, start courting
