As a 19 year old who’s been overweight most of my life I needed this video. I have not accomplished much in my life, but to every standard I do not live a difficult one. This video showed me how good I actually have it. And how much I must improve myself. I’m going to lose the weight. I’m going to be able to post a photo on Instagram without being self conscious about my weight. I’m going to be able to support my mother and my family as I grow older. I’m going to do it all. Update: I’ve been going really hard in the gym these last couple months, was hitting amazing strides but then COVID hit and shut everything down, minor setback and now I’m on a major comeback. Since the start of the year I’m down 25 pounds and am getting closer and closer to my goal! :)

Never give up on your dreams, I grew up in Honduras, a third world country, went to a public school, where we wouldn't have class sometimes for weeks because teachers weren't getting paid by the government, I wanted to become a teacher, but never in my wildest I thought I could be one in the United States, and sure enough I did, I came to the United States when I was 15, graduated from HS, went to college. I was the first one from my family to go to college. I currently work as a Spanish teacher at a public school in NJ and as an adjunct professor at a college, and I am also pursuing a Phd in Second Language Acquisition research.
