Wow at last I got the actual prawn 🍤 Balchow recipe. Though I was not sure if Prawn Mole and Prawn Balchow was the same. Thank you for sharing your beautiful recipe. Made some with the recipe of Isdor Cohelo THE CHEF 👨🍳.

Hi Andrea,just came across your balchao recipe. Love it except for the part where you added the water used for rinsing the mixie jar. In my opinion, it would be better to use a silicone spatula and scrape out the masala still coating the jar. Adding water to a pickle is a big NO NO in my experience. A great recipe nevertheless 🎉

Hi Andrea very happy to go through the entire prawn balchao recipe of yours, however one small query or doubt, will the water not spoil the balchao? i always thought that 'Water" is a Big No in pickles. Please help and guide.
@andreamdsouzaskitchen3 жыл бұрын
A big No in raw pickles, but since this is being cooked for a long time, there will be no problem

Hi Andrea ! A fan of yours from Kolkata. Do you not add "Nappi", I think nappi is prawn eggs . It comes in a paste. Always thought Balicho has to have nappi, that how it would get that distinctive smell and taste. Kindly share with me your knowledge on this. Much appreciated. Darius

Aunty my balchau has a strong smell of vinegar. What can I do. Please reply dear. I am waiting dear.
@andreamdsouzaskitchen3 жыл бұрын
goan vinegar does have a strong aroma, which makes the balchao tasty.... don't eat the balchao as soon as you make it - it will taste good after 7 days - as the fish and the masala will absorb the vinegar
@sonalwavdankar63423 жыл бұрын
Ok aunty thanks a lot dear 😘😘. Love you 😘😘
