One of the best parts of GS1 was being able to find a weird but very funny and cool secrets around every corner. Devil summoning, then see a boulder to mess around with, then summon a ship, then find a robot, blah blah blah. Just a shit ton of unexpected stuff to find and figure out. I love that! I hope GS3 does the same

Sim 1 was mostly just a joke of absurdity, Sim 3 seems like a mild attempt at a real ass game while ALSO revelling in the absurdity. I appreciate the evolution.

Sequels are hard. They have to build upon previous success, while also refining what already works. Third instalments are MUCH easier. By then you've figured out what works and are just expected to deliver more of the same. CS Studios are truly geniuses for skipping all that tedious refinement crap and jumping straight to the bit where you make more money.
