I find all the smoothing you have to go back and do with the learn to take longer than just doing it manually. It is nice sometimes though. Especially when a car has trash wiring and drops connection with the ecu every 8 seconds!

I have a bored 5.3L to 5.7. Engine won’t run unless tps is at 10-15% and throttle open. I have a TON of smoke out of the pipes like it is rich, but wideband says it’s at 14.5-14.8. My question is regarding the cam specs. When it gives the option for cam, does it refer to duration at .050 or original duration? I know that will make a big difference, but I still have to figure out what I should be telling it so it tries to run better. I spent $1250 on this setup and would like for it to run better than smoking me out of my shop.

Trying to find video's on term x turbo base tune/ ve table format
@Boosted3706 ай бұрын
What's the setup on this?? I've never seen an NA table that was way up at 150% ve. Hell on my turbo Camaro with an 80mm T6 with Bosch 210 injectors I'm not even that high in my ve table. I'm running 17 lbs of boost too
@thomasjohnson11423 жыл бұрын
So hope I was paying attention. So your start up fueling is going straight into the ve and uses fueling multipliers at specific temp until you get up temp then multiplied by one or itself correct? I’m guessing that’s why you zeroed them out so no corrections? Do you have to do that or is there a open loop setting to prevent that? Or that was just faster at the moment ? It kinda reminds me of the start up fueling map or table in HP if I’m looking at that correctly. I guess the learning on its own thing throws me for a loop guess you wouldn’t need open loop lol does it for you. Man I missing out
@GoatRopeGarage3 жыл бұрын
Closed loop will still work but learning won't when there is corrections. The start up table is literally the fueling applied until you break the run rpm which in this case is set to 400 rpm so once you break that it goes to the VE table.

Did you end up getting your car professionally tuned or does the terminator x self learn suffice?

What’s going on. So I don’t have time this week to set up another tuning session with you, I’m hoping you can help me out with this one. One 85 mustang I just realized that my car doesn’t rev out. I hit my limiter according to my data log at 4499rpms on my laptop I have it set to 7000 on high rpm and 6200 on low rpm with fuel cut.

Looks pretty simple I was thinking it less hands on to be self tuning very similar to us logging in hp tuners and then taking the corrections from graph and adding them to fueling multiplying by half so we don’t overshoot but I guess money saved from actually having to buy a wide and and credits 🤷🏾♂️ I have 3-4 projects so it’s just more economical for me to tune woth hp tuners vs buying a terminator for each of them
@GoatRopeGarage3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you don't even have to log anything, you can just drive and it generates an error table for you to apply your changes

Ive watched your stuff for a while and learned to do Gen III from you but want to know some of what is required for diesel tuning with HP tuners. my truck is supported by HPtuners but information for what to do is few and far between as most diesel guys guard tune information like its the holy grail. I dont want their tune anyway just want to know how to do it myself. Can you do a video on diesel work? i can send you a reference file and some logs if that helps.
