This one was a first for me! Never seen it in 1000 + hours of warhammer 2. Was it introduced in 3?

@@BlakesTakes420 Yeah believe so, though I thought it was patched like 1.3 or something, kinda annoying albeit funny to see it re-introduced. Must be something to do with the Base coding for Gates, where CA have used that old code of the new setlements.

This happened to me twice only on this map, but on the far left gate. I saw a couple people mention it on Reddit. I was greenskins as well. One thing I noticed when it happened was that my units were not doing GATE damage, only Wall Health damage. The third time I saw that happening I pulled them all away, only sent one unit to start attacking, then I saw it inflicting damage to the gate normally. If they start doing damage to the health of the wall (the top bar) then you're about to get nerve gassed.

As Festus, I fought Hochland's capital and used the giant to make breaches in the walls, except I had festus next to it to do some sneaky DoT. So when the giant broke the wall, Festus instantly died as a result. First time it ever happened to me. XD

@@BlakesTakes420 Once upon a time i was defending an alith anar settlement, against prince charming, when he decided to solo climb the walls i destroyed my OWN walls with the anvil of vaul spell that breaks walls during sieges/battles , he died from fall damage, i killed 3 towers with units inside on their way to the city, and died of army losses (not very big army) city towers are op!

@@BlakesTakes420 I remember back in total warwarhammer 2 breaking the walls would often crash my game. which sucks because I love making holes in the wall where the AI isn't expecting you so you can get your whole squad of gobos through them. Nothing like using their own walls to put archers on.

Yeah, it's another reason why I try to steer clear of siege battles. I enjoy the game, just not that aspect. I'm curious as to why siege battles have been so neutered compared to previous titles like Medevile 2 and Shogun 2?

I think they're just coming to the capacity of the warscape engine. They tried something new with this and it failed.

I had this happen to me as Archaeon on a different map, my chaos knights of khorne and tzeentch got hit by the nerve agent :(

Yeah, i play on vh/h so i just played the battle again, did the same thing, just with less knights and didnt happen again..

For the love of Sigmar, dont show this to Ikit Claw! I find myself fortunate not to have run into bugs like this. That was probably rage inducing when you saw that happen.

Not sure if this counts but I had a vs. campaign of grimgor vs drazoath and had over 5000 gold worth of grimgor his bobb's and 2 units or so of black orcs ( including my krimson killers with immortalz banner) ALL INSTANTLY DIE TO DOOR. He was door cheesing with the open/close/open to preserve gate hp and the gate just opened and closed killing them all for no reason.
