Our feeling away from God is ironically what brings us closer to God. Feeling guilty it’s what makes us Christian. My non-Christian friends just don’t have this guilt but I’m afraid to separate from God to not reach heaven so I have no choice but to feel this guilt. I am sure that feeling guilt is really an important part of being a real Christian.

Feeling guilt is understanding your humanity, but once you feel your humanity, you are free to be as your nature allows. Guilt is just a state of metamorhosis into realizing you walk with divinity at all times. There is no aspect great or small that is not attended to and loved by god. God watches over all things and molds tenderly over time each expression of man like a clay figure into a work of beauty, cracks, seeming imperfections, all are unique in the eyes of god.

I can't get enough of this truth. This hits different & harder when you felt like you've made a mess so many times, and felt like a failure. Yet, the Cross have spoken the final result of "it's finished". All of our sins are paid.,no guilt, no condemnation. You are so good, Father God. Thank you Lord Jesus Christ.

"Anyway" The word "Anyway", is the pathway, to master guilt. Use it as a bridge, to become what you want to overcome. Because when you become, what you want to overcome, you overcome what you want to become. "Anyway" begins as being consciously unconscious and being unconsciously conscious. The simple, hard truth is that it's often difficult to integrate, when you have to carry the heavy burden of it. That's why it's good to go slowly with it. How to slowly go into cold water. You can even expand your comfort zone. Enter suffering willingly. If you willingly enter into suffering, you purify yourself of it. Because only if you can face the suffering, you can change it. The courage to be strong is the shield against the manipulative fears that attack you. Nevertheless, being strong and not letting yourself be manipulated, is the courage to be strong. A sacrifice for love, is a sacrifice worth dying for. We don't have to undo the things we do wrong or have done wrong in life. We die for it and thus sacrifice ourselves for love. Die for your negative qualities and live for your positive qualities. This is the sacrifice and salvation of the human spirit. Positive and negative imprints in the early days largely determine who we are. Some are positive and some are negative. However, the negative imprints can be overwritten. And how something begins only determines one's own end, the old experience and not the next new beginning of the new experience. We find new ways to leave old ways. This is how we find salvation. The guilt we feel is the one that enslaves us. Only when we also remember our innocence, are we free at the same time. I'm Sorry For many years I carried a deep sense of guilt with me. Which has shifted again and again, as soon as I apologized for something to a person. I carried the guilt with me and tortured myself for many years. Until I realized that the only one I really had to apologize to, was myself. I have tortured myself, the most. So every day I apologize to myself for what I've done to myself. This is how I find my innocence; that I once lost, again. And by apologizing to myself, I release my feelings of guilt. And so I don't do anything to others either. Because I am at peace with myself and therefore with the world. Therefore, apologize to yourself if you feel guilty about yourself. Because you can't torture yourself and apologize to yourself at the same time. Tormenting inflicts sorrow. And apologizing takes away sorrow. Master the guilt and regret by becoming one with it in a way that all resistance to it is accepted and integrated. Because guilt and regret are qualities of a good heart. To finally be free, apologize to yourself and so integrate the guilt and regret. The solution to every problem is the problem itself. It came into existence and it will not leave you. However, the point of view changes, from a different perspective. This is how problems, become solutions. No bad deed will ever be forgotten by the conscience. Treasure those bad deeds. They remind you, that you have not forsaken your humanity. The patterns within us lead us like marionettes, on threads. Patterns are stuck resistances that can bring you a lot of suffering. Because if we fight them, we fight ourselves. The way out of the pattern, is therefore not possible, as a marionette in resistance. We can only become one with the patterns and resistances as a marionette and thus pull ourselves, by the strings. Because in order to overcome something, you have to become one with it. It is the shift from the receiver within, to the creator within. Therefore I am not afraid. I am fear. I'm not in the dark, I am the dark. I don't project evil. I am evil. I am not suffering. I am the suffering. I don't feel guilty. I am guilt. This is the way of overcoming. Become it, overcome it. At the same time, the patterns still exist. We have evil in us, that accuses the other evil in us. Evil accuses the other evil, as evil. And evil, that evil, accused of being evil, does not itself believe to be evil? Isn't the evil that accuses other evils of being evil, not evil in itself? If you really seek good, you will not find it in condemnation. When you realize that the condemned in you, is also the judge, then you can choose to drop the judgement. The important thing is to look within yourself, for if you had the intention to harm someone, before you start blaming yourself, for creating something, that was not even in your control. And you will see that there is nothing to regret. Because the intention counts. To get out of something, you have to go in. This is how you free yourself and at the same time, consciously, keep yourself captive. Because the paradoxical opposites, carry the respective opposites within themselves. This is the way out and the way in. Pain is strength in disguise waiting, to be revealed. The reaction determines the content. Whether something is good or bad is ultimately decided in your own mind. It doesn't live in anything or anywhere, but in your own mind's response to something. When you shift your perception of something in a more lovable way, even the worst on earth can become the best on earth.

I have so much past guilt in me from hurting someone who loved me so much. I told her I wasn’t in love with her anymore on the phone and then she started crying, the phone call then ended and shortly after she sent me a goodbye text wishing me all the best for the future and that she was happy that I found a new purpose in my life. A month later I tried to get back with her but she told she has moved on with her life and now I everyday regret that decision. I always think back to that moment when I heard her choke up in her cry after I told her I wasn’t in love with her anymore right before the phone call ended.

I used to feel guilty less often but since turning to Christ and church groups I have started to feel guilty more often. At church we bring it up sometimes and our group agreed that part of faith is to celebrate our guilt, because it keeps us clean and beneath Him. Guilt might be part of our Christian culture that we inherited. I would not be ashamed of guilt as it is part of being a good Christian, and those that are not guilty might not be forgiven and thus might not reach heaven. I myself often have guilty feelings of not enough faith in God but I use this guilt to ask for forgiveness so I can be saved. I don’t think we should try to overcome our guilt but recognise it as part of being a Christian, even if it is difficult to live with.

First of all: I fully support you being a Christian. This is not to say that you are wrong in any way. Guilt happens to people of many faiths. I’m not atheist at all. I have felt intense guilt many times though-out my life. As a child and now as an adult just the same. Sometimes it is because I know I did wrong and sometimes I ‘just feel like I’m not good enough’ in general. I think a lot has got to do with upbringing too, I believe. I never have felt ‘good enough’ for my dad at all. I know he felt the same with his dad. It is so important to let our children know they are LOVED, with every flaw and every quality they have that we love them with all our heart!

God doesn't want you to wallow in your shame for sins Jesus Christ already payed for. If it's been brought to the cross God is waiting for His child to leap back into His arms. You don't need to abuse yourself to be made right with God. You already are made right if you trust in Christ, nothing is stopping you from enjoying fellowship with God again. In fact that's what He wants His children to do!

Hillsong on their new album "There is more" in multiple songs, the lyrics talk about how we are saved FOR God's glory. God's pro-God-ness is a doctrine that stings at first until you understand why God wants to share himself with everyone. Piper really cleared that up for me, and now I see a ultra-popular Christian band integrating that same view into their music. They're not skirting around complex topics, and they're keeping their songs Biblical. Pretty darn cool if you ask me.

I would be careful when it comes to Hillsong. The leaders of that church have very spotty theology and some of there music containes serious errors. The lead pastor of Hillsong even publicly celebrates Jowel Osteen one of the worst false prophets who preach the false prosperity gospels. I'm glad you found the fifth Sola of the protestant reformation "For the glory of God alone" though there music. it's not wrong to like some of there song but be careful and test what you hear against the scriptures. The KZbin channels "Polite Society" and "Wreched Radio" did good videos explaining this concern.

living as a human being with all our faults and sin, guilt and shame is wrong or a bad thing or obviously something to be ashamed of. Why do I still feel all of those even after he has supposedly taken it from us? I am missing something.

God doesn't take away the memory of our sin. But because our sin has been payed for, blotted out though faith in Jesus Christ there's no barrier between us and God. If we really trust Jesus payed it all then we can unashamedly go to the Father because we trust not in our righteousness but Jesus' Righteousness imputed onto us.

When the Christian God says, "Love me or I will burn you in Hellfire forever," why is that different from a rapist holding a gun to a woman's head and saying, "Give me what I want or I will blow your brains out?" Where in that do you see God's respect for free will? When someone threatens to burn you screaming and thrashing about in horrible agony for a million, billion, trillion, gazillion years, after which your agony will have only just begun, they are obviously attempting to deny you your free will. A god that would torture any living creature in such a monstrous manner is devoid of justice, mercy, and love. If a man were to throw a living dog or a cat into a fire, you would think that man was a psychopath. Christians tell us that God is like a loving father. What loving father throws his child into a fire? This is not a good god. Don't tell me God does not throw people into the fire. Nothing can exist without God. He created everything. He created the test: if you pass you go to Heaven. If you fail you burn. If he wanted to save us from the fire, he needed only to stop burning us. If you approve of such cruelty, there is something horribly wrong with you.

The difference between Christians and others is that we can be weak, sick and fail, but celebrate our weakness as sickliness knowing that god encourages it. Our feeling of moving away from God is ironically what brings us closer to God. Feeling guilty it’s what makes us Christian. My non-Christian friends just don’t have this guilt but I’m afraid to separate from God to not reach heaven so I have no choice but to feel this guilt. God looked down from Heaven and saw humans committing sins all over the place. The Bible tells us God is an angry God and He was furious. God said to Himself, if I don’t forgive these people for offending me, I will burn them in Hell for eternity. But God is a good God and He didn’t want to do that, so he devised a plan to circumvent his anger. He sent his only begotten son-who happened to be himself-down to earth to be sacrificed--to himself. And then, after the humans had scourged Him, and crowned Him with thorns, and forced him to carry a heavy cross through the town where the people spat on him and cursed Him. Then after they nailed him to the cross and he cried for a drink of water, they gave him vinegar to drink. Then they pierced his side with a spear and finally killed him. After the humans did all these horrible things to Him then, Hey! Now He could forgive them for offending him! But, he didn't forgive non-Christians. He burned them all in Hell fire for eternity. And then for good measure tossed in a bunch of Christians because they didn't love him enough. Wow! What a great story.

I didn't kill millions of people during the Flood. He killed a lot of people at the Great Flood. He killed adults, he killed children, he even killed unborn children in their mothers bellies. That were the first documented abortions. He killed Chinese, Indians, Australian Aborigines, Vikings, Inuit, South Americans, North Europeans, Africans. They all didn't even know him. And he killed many animals. He even killed saltwater fish that don't tolerate freshwater. They must all have been great sinners. But sinners in what? Read Mark 3:22 in context. The teachers of the law were evil. They were liars who did not believe in Jesus. They accused him of being possessed and healing people through the power of deamons, because they did not want to believe that He was God or that His miracles came from God, and He harshly condemned them after they accused him of this. As for eating and sleeping, yes of course He ate and slept. He is God in human flesh.
