I played God Eater 1 and I can say a lot of things about it but one thing that stood out to me about it is that it has heart. The story is well paced and everything builds up to climatic moments that are epic very memorable. Then I played the sequel when it came out and everything felt like a chore. the characters are just shallow copies of the original cast. The story.......I don't even remember what even happens in the story I was so bored and forcing myself to finish the story missions. Overall it didn't feel like a sequel to me, more like a remaster judging by the number of assets pulled straight from the PSP game without any polish.

Yeah it's a rough game, it feels like there are a lot of ideas that they could've expanded on to make the characters feel more unique, and the port itself is rough and full of weird bugs.
