God can see things we can’t see. We see dead ends, no way out. We can’t break this addiction, the medical report is not good, it’s not possible. We’re natural, but God is supernatural. He can part Red Seas; He can heal sick bodies. He can cause contracts, opportunities, and good breaks to come to you. This doesn’t happen if you’re striving, trying to do it on your own. It happens when you’re abiding, trusting Him, not stressed, not worried, but relaxed, knowing that He’s in control.

Thanks for this reminder. I often feel like wanting to be married makes me a less strong Christian. I am content that God is enough, yet I still desire marriage. It's hard sometimes. But good to know God made marriage and it's a good gift and a ministry too. I was beginning to get bitter in my singleness. I pray that I would grow closer to God in whatever he has for me, even and especially in marriage one day.

Great video Mark! Your videos are always a blessing! I have a crush on a coworker who unfortunately isn''t a born again believer. It's been difficult as every bit of me wanted to pursue a relationship with her as I love her as a person and her personality so much . I unfortunately didn't feel it was the Lord's will however as I didn't want to be unequally yoked and worried about the consequences of dating a coworker. I work in accounting at a local courthouse and by an act of providence God recently had her move to a position with a higher courthouse across the street. I have to believe this was God's way of putting some distance. I do believe the Lord is calling me to marriage but there are some areas of sin and growth in my relationship with the Lord that I strongly believe He wants me to work with him on first. I wouldn't want to dishonor such a beautiful gift that the Lord would have in store. May God grant wisdom to those in the season of singleness.

Did a lot of growing, healing and what not. Around this time last year I realized I really wanna be married. I have been praying and eventually got into online dating and it just has stunk so much. I get so frustrated and discouraged. I told myseld the other day I'm going to stop looking and stop trying. I'm having a hard time. Please pray for me and for my future husband. I believe God has someone for me, it's hard being so alone all the time.

@Rachel. Online dating is the pits. My son looked briefly at online dating and those who ticked ' christian' were women into tattoos, smoking, drinking, talking dirty and had previous partners and kids. He got off there fast. He's single and just gets on with his job, the gym, and being with us family. We are praying he will meet miss right. He is 38. He had a relationship with a stunning much younger girl but he finished it as she became untrustworthy.

Well, I guess all four apply to me. And I want so bad to have a family and a wife and I want to be a loving husband . The problem is that I'm 54 and unless there is some lady that I already know the market isn';t very good for guys my age. It's very depressing and some times I have to work over a box of Kleenex . I see happy people , friends and strangers and it's really hard to keep a smiley face most days. Living in a rural area doesn't help much either. I haven't given up but the thought has occurred to me.

Thanks. I'm actually trying the online stuff now. Have been for about 10 months. I took a bit of time writing my description, checked it twice etc. Described the type of lady I wanted to meet. Included pictures of myself. Well, so far I've met exactly one woman. She neglected to tell me that she was a lot younger in the pictures she posted, was about 75 pounds lighter in the pictures, claimed to not smoke but puffed three cigs and sucked a vape dry in fifteen minutes and the biggest thing was she had no teeth. She just forgot to mention that in the pictures she still had her teeth but the pics were years old. It's comical but why do people misrepresent themselves if they are trying to meet a good companion? I'm too old for the kids games. @@ApplyGodsWordcomMarkBallenger

Every single one of those verses hit me in the heart, especially that last one. This video was a big eye opener for me. So I now realize that God has called me to pursue marriage. And in the name and spirit of Christ, that is what I'm gonna do. The only reason I have stayed single for most of my life is because my dad has been pressuring me into getting a girlfriend ever since I was in high school. And remembering that my parents divorced because of the fact that they weren't ready to have a child gave me all the more reason to bide my time

I agree with the other comments (former special ed. teacher) - try a multisensory approach! I recommend viewing Chuck Smith's videos, as his method is to go through a book at a time. He also provides commentary. You may also want to get a Bible reading plan, that's not in sequence with the Bible, but rather chronological. Or consider a plan where Old and New Testament books are read the same day. Most importantly, ask God to reveal Himself as you read! You'll be enlightened.

There’s this one young lady I really like …. Even though her bizzare mega Spanish church doesn’t agree with dating or even marring someone from a different church I still can’t quite fully move on… I’ve completely stopped talking to her on many occasions as I “got my answer” after bravely ‘shooting my shot’ but We just still end up talking. Talking to her at work is amazing… She’s one of the only few if not only person I can have deep theological talks about. During our breaks, sometimes lunch. But just friends …. (Which is fine, i would say perfect cause that’s a GREAT foundation and i wouldn’t want it any other way lol but) I know nothing is impossible with God, maybe things can change & she will suddenly want to go to my church to get to know them or something, maybe even vise versa idk…. maybe it won’t change…. Idk. Still gotta have faith & trust God tho. she’s daily involved in her church & madly in love with it and I am also greatly involved in my small home church. But she’s different for sure. I feel like the Lord is telling me I can still learn so many things through our exchanges at work and still develop some maturities to still ‘be a light’ to the body and learn how to behave and be okay with “we won’t end up together but can still be friends ??” When I think about singleness I think I can do this. I believe it’s for me, but then I think about her and I just can’t help myself. I ask God constantly to bring out all my idols in place for God but…. It’s weird man… I’m not asking for any answers. I know that in the end we can only be satisfied with Jesus Christ. And we cannot have any idols in our lives… But if I’m being perfectly honest… Even though I was very much contempt with singleness for almost my entire Christian walk, I feel like I have been idol in my singless lately, and if I’m being perfectly honest again. Like the video said, Sometimes I feel like guiding her, being the head under Jesus. Helping her fall in love more with Jesus & just being in complete awe of Him, and doing life. sounds like an amazing ministry man ….it still brings me a lot of pain when I think about this… Oh well I guess, All I ask for is prayers for wisdom, knowledge, & strength for these trials. disciple maybe too I guess aha. . *sigh* Thank you

This is good. However, myself, and a few women I know are all in our 40's and never married. All of us would like to be married, but it has been difficult meeting men who are on fire for Jesus. This does seem to be a pattern in the church. Or a lot of the men I meet that are single have major social issues or are on the Autism spectrum. I am of the mind that God can and will put people together in all sorts of ways. I personally have never received a personal promise from the Lord saying I would be married. I just had one of those, "What did I just commit to moments?" earlier today. Upon saying yes to this commitment, I realized that the way I view my finances needs to change, and following through this idea of giving money in support of the homeless and the needy certainly hit me like a ton of bricks. Now, in a similar fashion, something happened this last Saturday that made me look at something I've struggled with my entire life. How does one attack a struggle that's gone on for that long?? For me, it was getting the idea that 'this is wrong' on my circular thinking track, because I suffer from autism. This is at least a start.......

I am so grateful for this video, thanks. I have been praying to send someone that is chosen by lord Jesus and not seeing any signs were starting to make dishearten. I thought god does want me to have family when I really want to have family, a loving husband. This video help me a lot that god never wanted anyone to be single. Where I live after crossing 30 for a girl considered too old to get married and this makes me so depress. I am 38 now and still single and I am still praying to Jesus. The only proposal I get is from non-christian but I want to marry someone who believes in Christ Jesus. I am still praying day and night.

Thank you, for this video! It's like you talked about me.. Somehow I think that marriage is something so much beautiful und blessing that God won't bless me with something like that. I know, that the greatest gift he can give me is his son and salvation and that he doesn't hold something good back from me because he is my heavenly father and knows what I want and what I need. But like I said, somehow I think he won't bless me with that..

Hey I need advice. Okay I am attending a bible college and I’ve gotten close to a girl and grew very close to her. I have feelings of wanting to date her and be with her but I know it’s not a season of dating for either of us. I just want to tell her I have a crush on her or like her but I don’t know if I should if I don’t see myself dating anyone in this season. Advice is welcome.

It’s important to understand to whom Jesus was answering and what was the motive of Pharisees asking question about divorcing. Divorcing for selfish motives like adultery is one thing, and divorcing as Victim is another thing. It’s important to use God given wisdom and listen to the Holy Spirit. This legalisation of divorcee should not marry is not right. This has kept many people in misery for no fault of theirs. So if you desire to marry for good reasons and glorify God, please go ahead and marry.

@@classicfitness8478 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery." Matthew 19:8&9 Fornication is to have relations with someone prior to marriage. In jewish times it was then okay to dismiss the marriage because jews have viewed eachother as married since their fathers exchanged with their children's fathers and made deals especially for profit and for war situations. But to re marry someone whilest the frist spouse has not passed away is completely breaking the covenant you made on the church alter to God. It is very upsetting that people do not take their vows the importance they are. Even if they left you and broke theirs does that really mean then that you have the "right" to break your one oath God allows in the new testamemt?

@@classicfitness8478 well i honestly think living a single life after divore is not bad and you should learn to enjoy life trusting in God's plan. If you broke that covenant you should not lie to yourself and say that it was not a big deal to God because it definetely is. So to answer your question no I dont think Jesus is going to tell her to find a new man and marry him again. We already know from scripture that's not biblical and we should have kept our first word. Divorce is a sin and remarriage after divorce is adultury. You want it to sound pleasing to your ears because you want to give God your rules for Him. But girl let me tell ya straight up; That's not how it works. God gives us His eternal love through what He did for us that means we gotta listen and obey His word by not divorcing our spouses and marrying someone else. Like no girl. Marriage is forever thats why you cant be messing around with just any guy and telling him everything and trusting him without truly sacrificing your daily life to become spiritualy one flesh with him

Oh dear, my Sister. You have settled for 35 yrs. Didn't your grandma tell you why buy the cow when the milk is free? The harsh truth is you are living in sin by shaking up with this man. No he is not going to marry you. Why should he? You played a role that you were not cast for. You need to get yourself out of that sinful situation as quickly as possible and repent. You wasted so many years on a man and you literally have nothing to show for it. This Pastor preached if a man can buy a license for his dog then why can't he get a license for you? There isn't common law marriage, Sis. You are shacking up. I only say that in love. You need to get yourself straight with the Lord. If God comes back and finds you in that bed with him, you will not be going to heaven. You are going to be lost forever! For your soul sake, get yourself right regardless of him. You are not going to stop breathing if you don't have a man. And besides God should be your first husband. You know he would not approve. Get it right my Sister! Get it right! Is your boyfriend worth you going to hell for? Think about it..... Pray about it really! But that's if Heaven is your goal.

What do you think about past poor choices and were married 3 times , and divorced. Do you think after being single 10 to 11 years now, you'd be able to get married to someone, since your life has changed now, and you have seeked the Lord instead of marriage again. The men were abusive that i married before, i have met a nice guy, and have been friends 6 years with him now. Your answer.

Nevertheless we must also consider it is influenced by how life was at everytime in history and that the style they spoke in may have been mistranslated. For instance, when it talks about "burning desire" this definitely is more usual in men who feel attracted to most of the women they see. Normal women only desire the man they love. And they only feel attracted to probably 1% of the men they see. Also, for women attraction tends to automatically trigger love and in many women also a desire for maternity. But when men realize a woman feels attracted to them they wrongly interpret this as lust. This is the main trouble for women when relating to men, as they must be extracareful not to give "the wrong impression" which in fact is the erroneous masculine interpretation of the woman's nature.

Definitely disagree on everything said about widows and their outlook on pursuing marriage. Women, at any age, marry because they seek social protection and human affection, sex for women is not the main reason they marry. Men strangely think so. Being single is NOT a sacrifice. We are all born single. It is a natural condition. If we are not happy being single we cannot be happy being married. Single people are far happier than married people who are always tired as overloaded with responsibilities. Also, their lives are more routinary. It is just to save face that they try to seems happy.

It is the first time I disagree with Mark. Women are not only different from men, they are exactly the opposite. Also, in fact women do not miss sex when being single for a long time as it does not "build up" interest in sex but on the contrary, makes women lose interest in sex, although they may miss emotional intimacy which is part of sex. Sadly for men, women, the more sex they have, the more sex they want. The only way to overcome this dilema is with real love which tempers sexuality. But biologically women are made to be insatiable, exactly the opposite of men. Only a loving devout man can have a faithful woman. Sex is not what keeps a woman next to a man, it is real love, loyalty and intimacy.
