When I was in my unconverted state, I would try to read my Bible and trying to read the Psalms for comfort but found condemnation, the word of God was condemning me. I've since come to the cross repented and place my faith in Jesus finished work of the cross. He saved me through the study of the Book of John.

I told my 17yo daughter the other day that when she was young and acted a fool at the store, her mother or I would take her to the car as she lost store privileges that day. I know how hard that was to upset one of my children by disciplining them, because I liked them to have fun and it brought me joy to experience them having a good time. Without discipline there is no order and it will always end badly.

It’s crazy that this got posted 10 hours ago! Sin is something I’ve been struggling with, knowing within that it ain’t right. I’m talking the “smaller things” or “controversial things.” I’ve had a solid foundation set so when people tell me it’s ok and your loved anyways, it’s like that problem was masked and temporary fixed only to come back. I’ve read the book and keep reading it cover to cover verse to verse, and this video helped me verify that my mind ain’t wrong, that god is mad at me for it! It verifies what I’ve been thinking, and my that little incentive voice that I’ve been masking, covering up hoping that I’d be safe... I’m not!! So thank you for this video I know now that in order to be safe I need to listen to that little voice in my head and do away with chew and quite accepting in my mind the “soft” mentality of others. I need to continue reading again and again strengthening my foundation so I can finish my house complete and perfect not in my eyes but his.

@tobyc8668
@tobyc8668 2 жыл бұрын
@@sharinnature That's not biblical. 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: 1 Corinthians 15:56-57 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 7:4) Our death with Jesus sets us free from the law. "Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another; to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God." The Bible says that those who are working to be justify under the law are under the curse. They have to continue to work to keep their salvation. Galatians 3:10-12: “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.” If Christians choose to work for justification, then God reckons it’s not of grace. God reckons it as debt. If they choose not to work and believe on him that justify the ungodly, their faith is automatically counted for righteousness. Romans 4:4-5: “Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.“ (Rom 7:14) The spiritual law cannot restrain a carnal man. For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin. Paul is in bondage under sin and the law can’t help him out. He is like a man arrested for a crime and thrown in jail. The law will only help him if he is innocent, but Paul knows that he is guilty and that the law argues against him, not for him. Even though Paul says that he is carnal, it doesn’t mean that he is not a Christian. His awareness of carnality shows that God did a work in him. (Rom 7:15-19) Paul describes his sense of helplessness. Paul’s problem isn’t a lack of desire - he wants to do what is right (what I will to do, that I do not practice). His problem isn’t knowledge - he knows what the right thing is. His problem is a lack of power: how to perform what is good I do not find. He lacks power because the law gives no power. The law says: “Here are the rules and you had better keep them.” But it gives us no power for keeping the law. "It is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me:" Is Paul denying his responsibility as a sinner? No. He recognizes that as he sins, he acts against his nature as a new man in Jesus Christ. A Christian must own up to his sin, yet realize that the impulse to sin does not come from who we really are in Jesus Christ. (Rom 7:20-23) The battle between two selves (Soul & Body). "Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members." (Rom 7:24) Paul’s desperation and perspective. "O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?" Paul is completely worn out and wretched because of his unsuccessful effort to please God under the principle of Law. Colossians 2:11 “In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:” As an unbeliever, the soul is attached to the body. So both body and soul are condemned. But when salvation happens, God cuts off something from saved believers. Their souls are cut off from their bodies that continue to sin. Even though, a believer's spirit/soul is born again and saved. They are still accountable for what they have done in his or her body 2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” The participants in the judgment seat of Christ are members of the New Testament church. These are people who have trusted Christ as Savior from the Day of Pentecost, until the coming of Christ for His church before the tribulation. According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. (1 Corinthians 3:10-15) Jesus is the only foundation for our salvation and the judgment seat of Christ is a judgment of believers works after salvation. Not everyone will receive the same reward. At the judgment seat of Christ, there will be those who suffer loss. The judgment will be by fire. Fire is used in Scripture as a symbol of judgment. (Rom 7:25) Paul finally looks outside of himself to Jesus. "I thank God; through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin." Paul acknowledges the state of struggle, but thanks God for the victory in Jesus. Paul doesn’t pretend that looking to Jesus takes away the struggle - Jesus works through us, not instead of us in the battle against sin. Indeed, our final victory against Sins only comes from Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior when our body of corruption is raised into incorruptible (1 Corinthians 15:52). All glory to him forever and ever. Amen.

@@ManlyServant No, that’s false doctrine. If you are washed in the blood of Christ, you are then saved. Your flesh is made of sin, but your spirit is of God. A sinner is someone who lives in sin, mocking God by turning a blind eye to his laws and His son’s sacrifice. There is a difference between a sinner and a Christian who sins and repents. Like Mike said, “is God on your mind when you do wrong, or when you are around wrong?”

"THAT'S NOT MY GOD! I CAN NEVER LOVE A GOD LIKE THAT!"..... We will see on the Lord's Day who were the true sheep and the true goats.... Lord, may you equip the saints with the WHOLE Gospel.. and encourage them to never back down to what is right. Matt.5 Verses 43 to 47 [43] Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. [44] But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; [45] That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. [46] For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? [47] And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? Would God asks us to love our enemies but not be able to do it Himself? No. I don't think the preacher is being dishonest and I love this brother, I simply believe he's confusing God's anger with God's hatred. And when God does hate, exactly who are these workers of iniquity? Make no mistake, God is angry when we sin. Just as a parent would be when their child disobeys. The parent DOES punish, but does the parent HATE their child when they disobey? This thinking turns our God into the God of Islam who only loves those who love Him. The preacher says that God will CELEBRATE the damnation of those in Hell. Ezekiel 18:32 "For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye."

I wish I could like this more than once, spot on. More than just common misconception, the age we live in cultivates the ideology that what we do are what we are. that group identity overrides our true individual identity. It doesn't matter if your a homosexual, gambler, liar, murderer, thief or what have you, you'll ALWAYS be a child of God. It doesn't mean you ARE those things, it just means your lost and strayed from the path. God doesn't hate people who commit these acts, he hates the acts themselves, not only because it goes against his better will for us in rebellion, but because of the damage it does to OURSELVES as well as others when we do them as well as where that path leads. Luke 15:7 "I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance." God wants nothing more than to welcome us back with loving arms as with the Prodigal Son parable in Luke 15:11-32. Whether we choose to spurn Him or not, we are all children of God and He loves ALL of us dearly. Romans 5:8 "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Jesus died for these fellow sinners the preacher professes God to hate. There's no greater show of love than the sacrifice Jesus gave for the sins of all mankind. God doesn't hate them, God loves them to death.

None of your quoted verses disqualify Mr Pearl's teaching. God is extending love and mercy NOW, to all. But the time is coming QUICKLY when severe and terrible judgement will be apportioned. How do you not understand this? if you love the wicked, you would be telling the wicked about hell just as Mr Pearl is. Love drives us to do the difficult task of warning people what is to come if they do not repent.

@@EmilyGrobler they absolutely do when he says that God cherished knocking out the teeth of sinners (7:00) and when he directly says God hates you and describes how God wants to brutally physically assault sinners at 9:42-10:32. More so afterward when he describes God hating a little girl for smooching on the playground. He preaches that God has infinite love and immediately contradicts himself by saying it's limited to only the elect. Just as OP said, God hates the SIN and he mourns for the unrepented sinner. You mourn for those you love and lost. Just as a parent loves their children through their faults and transgressions, so does God whom we get that trait from. If your point is on the importance of preaching on hell and telling the honest truth about the consequences of our sins, absolutely and it needs to be done. That's not a pass or justification for preaching that God hates and He hates you. God loves you and he hates your sins, always.

Sir, I was believing this for decades, wrongly. What do you do with Bible verses such as: Psalm 5,5: … thou hatest all workers of iniquity? God hates not only the iniquity, but the one doing it! John3,36:…the wrath of God abides upon him. God not only hates sin, he hates the sinner very much who doesn’t repent, his wrath abides upon such a person! Love must hate what is evil. In HIS mercy he calls sinners into the refuge city Jesus Christ, we’re he can see mortal men through HIM and accept sinful men through Jesus. We love equally all men and want them to be saved by the glorious gospel, but if they don’t make it to Jesus who saves from the wrath to come, where will the godless person be?

So, if I'm doing good and walking uprightly God loves me, but if I'm failing and falling and living sinfully God hates me? What if I don't allow my sin to change my belief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ or the confession of my mouth that Jesus is lord? What if I keep praying in Jesus name for deliverance and reading the word of God in hope that it will change me? What if I fear Him because I know I'm such a failure, yet hope in Him because I know He is not? What if I'm sinful and at the same time I trust in Him to complete what He started in me because I believe He is faithful? If I sin than ask God to forgive me 400 times a single day, will He? If so, is it because He loves me in spite of my sin? If not, why? If there is another reason, does He start loving my after He forgives me? Ill just finish this post like the tax collector on the roof. God, I am not a good Christen, to be honest Lord, I'm not even a good man. You know me Lord and how bad off I am, but for all those who will read this Ill just admit it openly, I am often over come by sin. So Lord, please have mercy on me! For without your mercy and forgiveness every single day I am a doomed man, without hope and bound for the pit, yet, I will hope in You! For I believe in your Son, in His death and in His resurrection with all my heart. I have and I will continue to confess you before men and call on your name every single day. Please don't hate me God. Please don't knock my teeth out, cut my lips off or break my arms. I know I deserve it even today, but please God, be merciful to me a sinner and deliver me from my sinful ways and your wrath, in Jesus name I pray, amen.

Otherwise saying that if I’m still living in sin and believe in Jesus then Jesus hates me and would punish me to death and hell. I believe in Jesus and god. And I want to become a part of the heavens. But I’m constantly hearing two different versions of what’s allowed or what is enough to be accepted by Jesus as a true follower and servant of him. Very confused what the TRUTH is. That’s what I care about. Not what’s the easiest for me.

I’m not so sure about that. The verses everyone quotes was written for Jews during a different dispensation. What percentage of the people in this Nation would need to repent to our Father God before God would heal this nation? 10% or 50% or 80% or ?? Also America isn’t referred to or mentioned anywhere in prophesy. I think America will be long gone by the time the people of the world get into the dispensation of the book of Revelation.

@Tableú - the word "Dispensation" is a Bible word that's in the New Testament four times. According to Paul, absolutely there is a different dispensation, and I can prove it unless you don't think that Paul's letters aren't supposed to be included in the New Testament.
@CerealDust-nStuff
@CerealDust-nStuff Жыл бұрын
@Tableú - Everything you wrote is a straw man argument. I never claimed any of those things. Paul's letters are not "modern dispensationalism". Your argument is not with me, it is with Paul who was appointed by Jesus to share the new Gospel of Grace. You are under the Law, and no longer under Grace if you want to adhere to law keeping, which is works- based. According to Jesus his instructions were to Israel only so stop stealing Israel's mail. Paul teaches that the Mystery was "unsearchable" and not found anywhere in scripture until Jesus revealed to him the mysteries that are only found in Paul's letters. They were "hidden" and "kept secre"t and was a mystery that has been revealed to Paul because (according to Paul) had they had known, they never would have crucified Jesus. This is all clearly taught in Paul's letters. If you choose to ignore that, then that's on you. It's astounding to me that you, and people like you, ignore Paul's letters. Seems like if you had your way you would just cut those books out of the Bible and keep reading other people's mail that was not written to you, nor was it written for you, which the Bible clearly teaches. You have been sorely misled, and your pastor, and your church have done you a grave disservice. The Bible, which is God's Holy Word, is the authority, not your church or your pastor. You have already been given the truth by Paul who was appointed by Jesus. Now it's up to you to be like a Berean and to search the Scriptures for yourself.
@CerealDust-nStuff
@CerealDust-nStuff Жыл бұрын
@Tableú - Everything you just wrote is correct, except for part of your last two sentences. With that part of your sentence, you are not rightly dividing the Word of Truth. Again, your argument is not with me, but with Paul. Here is a question for you: according to Scripture, when is it a sin to forgive?
