I’ve been eyeing up the fender Thinline. Your videos are making me want the Squier!

Are you using a pitch shifter for the intro riff / turnaround riff?
@JoeMcDaniel2 жыл бұрын
Nope! I just used an octave effect, octave up

Killer tone bro! I stumbled upon this searching for the benson preamp. How well do you like the benson preamp?
@JoeMcDaniel5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Lance. I really love the Preamp! I specifically love the high gain sounds on it, it can get bonkers. Honestly, it sounds great no matter where the knobs are set.

Did you do any upgrades on this guitar like pickups? I have the same one just wondering if I should do anything!
@JoeMcDaniel4 жыл бұрын
I never upgraded anything on this guitar, but if I still had it I would probably upgrade the pickups. I thought the bridge and middle positions sounded great but I couldn't get along well with the neck position for some reason. I also really wanted to somehow put a bigsby on it but was too scared 😄

@@JoeMcDaniel which pickups would you recommend?
@JoeMcDaniel4 жыл бұрын
@@johntelleen6963 I remember looking at Lollar Regals, I probably would have went with those. Just keep note that the pickups in your tele aren't regular sized humbuckers, make sure you buy wide range size humbuckers

I know you are using the brian carl HC30, but it sounds like you are using drive pedals in front? Which profile are using for your base tone? Is the benson preamp on all the time? Sounds awesome!
@JoeMcDaniel5 жыл бұрын
Correct, I'm running all my drives and compressor right into the front. I cant remember which specific HC30 profile it was, I'll have to check tonight. I used the Preamp for the big parts of the song, (leads, bridge) I love that thing!
@jeffwatson78115 жыл бұрын
@@JoeMcDaniel Thanks for checking, one thing I am trying to work out is what gain level to have on the kemper profile vs gain to add by pedals in front. I like where you have ended up!
@jeffwatson78115 жыл бұрын
Joe McDaniel also are you using delay and verb from kemper?
@JoeMcDaniel5 жыл бұрын
Alright, just checked the Kemper and the name of the profile was changed. I actually got it from a performance Brain posted in the Kemper P&W Facebook group. It looks like he renamed the profile to the song title, so I have no idea which one it is, sorry! It is on the edge of breakup if that helps, which is how I like my profiles. I've never had any luck with running anything super clean, my overdrives always seemed to sound thin and harsh.
@JoeMcDaniel5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I'm using the Kemper delays and new reverbs. I usually run two delays, one before the amp and one after.
