Ricky Bobby I have a RG3 Its a real nice guitar, pricey for a Godin, but every bit as good or better than top of the line fender. HDR makes it a better guitar IMO. The thing I like most is the Godin neck. For my hands(where are a bit smaller) it feels really good. It takes a while for my hands to get sore from playing. Pair it with my Traynor YCS50 and you have an amazing setup.

Daniel Polansky Yeah something about the wood the bodies is made of, the silver leaf maplecentre, with poplar wings, makes it really really acoustic. It almost sounds chambered it has so much volume and tone. I practice all the time just laying the guitar acoustically. Truly the sign of a musical 'electric' guitar. If I am not inspired to play the guitar,I wont pik it up, I pick up the Redline 1 every single day, missing only a hndful of says since I bought it last fall. Lately my practice rig has been a Fender Champion 600, front ended by an RP155 by Digitech. Its a sick sound for like 400 dollars. Currently searching for a decent club/jam rig. Sold a lot of gear a few years ago, and am just rebuilding a bit. Peace, and heres to a great guitar. I would like to get a Redline 2 or 3 actually as well, guess we'll see how it goes.

I had a 2oth anniversaire s6 with a “fort epp” case, and the hinges absolutely did break. Though playing out at least three times a week is a lot of stress on a bendy piece of plastic. I knew godin was a canadian manufacturer but did not realize it was based out of Quebec. I recently just purchased a 5th ave after 2ish yrs of wanting a gretsch hollw body (brian setzer fan). I didn't research Godin much as all i recalled was a highscholl buddy decades ago had some bc rich electric that he sold to buy a godin electric and he said he could not believe the difference in sound. The store I bought my 5th ave at isn't a store that carries godin but it was a trade in for amp apparently. I kept playing the gretsch 5420tg and the godin 5th ave uptown. Noty sure yet if I made a bad decision yet or not...haven't owned it long enough yet but the 5420tg will be in collection shortly after xams and then I can take all teh time I need to make a true comparison.
