The technique using the V1 and the unbrella just blew me away, I think I can use it even without assistant if the camera/lens it's not too heavy using one hand to hold the camera and the other to hold the umbrella. Also love the round shape of the V1's head and the accesory dome. The V1/AD-S200 combo it's a killer combination, you can literally carry them in a small sling bag and go everywhere. I gradually replaced all my lights with Godox equipment, it seems like you have the perfect product for every need!

I really appreciate that (unlike some European brands) Godox creates videos that show how to get creative results with its simpler, less expensive products such as the V1, instead of concentrating only on its higher-end, more-expensive equipment. In my case, I have often used my V1 as an accent light while using a softer source (such as AD200 and umbrella) as the main light. But until I watched this video, it had never occurred to me to use the V1 plus another hard light. Now I will have to give this technique a try!

I do have one V1 and it is a truly incredible flash🤩. The round head is very functional and the battery lasts for so long💪! I love Aires Tao's demonstration, especially the effect with Godox Umbrella and, also with AD-S200. Oh man, great work👌.

Amazing looking flash! I love how it is also a controller for other flashes. It makes it very convenient to set up different lighting setups!

I love the fact that you can use it as a trigger system now, that make it great for trigger other light like the ad2000 and the other v1, and also have the ability to use it as a off camera flash to use on light stand is going to make it even more versatile system.

Where you said the V1 struggled at 4:26, the exposure was actually perfect. All the shots before that one were overexposed to me. Great vid anyhow.

I love the combination of the new #AD-S200 and #V1 as a clamshell lighting. But what I love about this video is the way the V1 was used as a direct on-camera flash, giving a vintage harsh lighting look. I can't wait to try this combination of AD-200 only with my V860III. Will probably save up for the V1 for it has a round Fresnel head having more option of the portable modifiers by Godox and given the fast recycle speed, it is such a great product to use.

Small, compact flash, great to take outside and bring some crisp to the photos. Magic flash that is on my wishlist for quite some time. I will definately use it while taking tho photos at community events and in a golden hour Portraiture against the sun! Also, use it as On or Off camera flash is a must to try for me. Excellent product! 📸

I use my V860ii regularly and have rented the V1 a few times for both on-camera and off-camera. In most use cases I can use them quite similarly but one thing the v1 is just the king at is lighting a background with a nice circular gradient. I can even spread the gradient more by using the white dome.

What gadget is that ipad holder you use on your arm?

Amazing! 😍 I would use the V1 as a trigger for my AD200 (which I love) and for the AD300 that one day I will own 😜 and to lift the shadows a bit. That would be a great multiple light scenario for me!

I use two AD100pro's for wedding room lights, and an ancient godox on camera speedlight sometimes. But I love the magnetic accessories and control with the ad100's, just been waiting and saving up to get a V1! I don't always use or like "on-camera" lighting but these examples make a strong case and I will have to try once I can get a Nikon version V1!

The round head of the V1 produce a better shape than the rectangular ones, as shown in this video. It's very versatile as Tao shows and the modeling light it's very helpful so it provides a good idea where the light will go or can also help to achieve focus... it should provide a nice addition to my gear 😁

The recycling time for my V1 is 1.5 seconds above that indicated in the manual. Mine starts at 1.5 seconds but with little use it goes to more than 3, 4 seconds even though I'm using it at low load. What can it be? I already changed the battery and the problem persists. Need help.

I’d love to use the #V1 for some street style night portraits. I would look for lots of city neon lights as a backdrop for my cyberpunk grungy portraits and use the v1 to highlight and add some movement with flash as well.

GREAT VIDEO, I LIKE HOW THE V1 CREATES THAT SMOOTH CONTRAST ON THE FACE, I ALSO LIKE HOW VERSETILE THE LIGHT IS,ITS SIMPLE TO USE AN IT MAKES THE SUBJECT POP. THANK YOU FOR SHARING THE OTHER WAYS OF USING IT.👌👌🙏🙏
