I'm fairly certain that this album singlehandedly changed my taste in music as a whole, it's very evocative, melancholic, dark but also hopeful, nostalgic while being completely out of place, it isn't a standard music project by any means. This one and Yanqui U.X.O. quickly rocketed to be some of my favorite music pieces of all time.

Lift Your skinny fist is a very demanding album. F#A#infinity (my favourite Godspeed album) is more story driven and less abstract which makes it easier to listen to. It's also shorter by 30min
@xbenci Жыл бұрын
I feel the completel opposite. F#A#∞ is something I need to fully focus on because it is so, soooo much slower than this one. it also lacks any cinematic or (really) explosive moment too

Just one more comment to give kudos for such a genuine and engaging listen. This album is super special to me and has left a lasting impact over the years. It’s nice to see your reaction capture a bit of that, authentically. Your editing also keeps things fresh and conveys your passion for music which I really admire. As others have stated, F#A# is well worth exploring when you’re ready to dive deeper into more Godspeed. And I’ll echo everyone else suggesting Swans too. A very adjacent listen, albeit with more vocals. Keep up the great work with the channel. 👍

You seem to get a ton of album recommendations so maybe it's no use recommending even more, but I'd love to hear your opinion on Black Wing - No Moon. It's from Dan Barret, the singer of Have a Nice Life. It's depressive atmospheric goodness straight through.

Hey dude! I just wanna say, I discovered your channel tonight and I'm absolutely hooked. You seem like such a cool dude and your taste is extremely similar to mine (this was also confirmed by checking out your AOTY-scores). I also love your editing style, it reminds me of Brad Taste In Music. Very high quality stuff, I always wished that someone else used edits on music reactions like Brad does. What can I say? I just watched almost every video (although I kind of skipped through most of them because it's almost 3 AM, but I will most likely fully re-watch them in the next days) and I am a fan already. Now since you really seem to enjoy Shoegaze, and I am a HUGE Shoegaze-addict (it was my most listened genre in 2021), I wanted to give you a recommendation that I promise you'll love: To See the Next Part of the Dream by Parannoul. My personal top 3 Shoegaze album of all time, right after Loveless and Souvlaki. It definitely deserves the hype it had last year and I highly recommend you to check it out (and maybe do a reaction?) if you haven't already. It's an amazing mix of emo and shoegaze. I gave it a 10 on RateYourMusic, one out of only 21 tens that I have given. I would love to hear your opinion! Oh, and since the lyrics are Korean, you might wanna get the translated lyrics beforehand. But the sound itself obviously plays the biggest role here. Greetings from Germany and keep it up with your amazing videos!
@snowy63012 жыл бұрын
Wow thank you so much!! I really appreciate all of that a ton :)) You saying something like that inspires me to keep going. Also I definitely have heard of that record!
