I’ve had good results with the POR15. Have a frame on an F100 that is now about 5 years and going strong. I did miss a few spots under the frame flange in a few spots as I brushed it on, and those spots obviously have surface rust, but where I got it coated it’s still good. I can appreciate what you’re doing here; thanks for taking the time. Also I may give that Eastwood platinum a try.

I did the Platinum under my Cadillac and did a black top coat over it came out really good I was a little shocked on the roof coating lol I never thought about it even though I did roofing and used it the stuff is durable but you definitely got to put more than one coat Up on the roof and we mop it on and this is a good video like how you left it out two years I live up in Cleveland so seeing it in rain and snow made it even better

Really appreciate you making this video. Super clear and concise information with real world testing over 2 years! Exactly what I was looking for. Just wish you could get the Platinum in flat black. Eastwood's "Plus" is only a couple dollars cheaper and claims 2x protection, so for the price I'd rather go with Platinum, but the black would match much better with my project.

Just a fun fact about por15. Por stands for paint over rust. I learned that the hard way. I had my brother in law's c10 cab sand blasted. I had some por15 metal prep sitting around and figure I'll go ahead and put a zinc coating on the bare metal that most metal preps leave. Well except for por15 brand it flash rust bare metal m I was sick. But if you ever have flash rust Eastwood fast etch cleans it right up. I had to do the whole cab it was kinda a nightmare. If you call the tech department they will tell you that is exactly what it is designed to do that is when I learned what por stands for. Haha.
