This Godzilla has the Heisei-era almost adorable squishy cat face most of the time, but the way he acts is significantly more frightening than any other encarnation. Zero fear, zero mercy, vengeful, and showing a certain knowing cruelty that alludes to the fact he's also quite intelligent. This movie was absolutely amazing. I'm glad we can finally have a modern Godzilla film that is also just a legitimately good movie.

When godzilla fires his atomic breath and we see his face regenerating cuz THATS how powerful it was...ugh. Made my jaw drop and gave me chills. Also the dorsal plates slamming down like the hammer on a gun...literally all I wanted out of the movie going into it. The Godzilla in Shin was scary for many reasons....but Minus One Godzilla seems like a whole other level of threatening.

Finally we have a Godzilla that true to the original, and he’s no friend to mankind….he’s vicious, brutal and utterly frightening along with some serious anger issues, there’s a compelling human interest story that could stand alone as it’s own…..but Godzilla brings a level of destruction and rage (his atomic breath is vastly more devastating than previously seen in other films)beyond comprehension..like I said he has no empathy for humanity not even a little bit…loved it !

This was my very first video I watched from you. I just found you last Sunday/Monday (thanks to TV Tropes having you on the trope Split Personalities as an example in Web Videos), and I binged all your videos in about 5 days. I should have commented a while ago, but I didn't know what to say, nor which video to start with, however I decided to comment on the very first video I clicked on. I am a Godzilla fan. I've been one since I was 3 years old thanks to Tokyo S.O.S. (I'm 23 now), and I've seen all films. My favorite films are King of the Monsters (2019), Vs, SpaceGodzilla (also SpaceGodzilla is my favorite Godzilla kaiju, I want him in a Monsterverse and in an other live activ Toho film.), 2000, Final Wars, Vs Biollante, The New Empire, and more. I am so happy you liked the film. It was such a good film! So glad it won the franchises' first Oscar! Also loved your other Godzilla reviews as well. You instantly became one of my favorites content creators ever! Your videos are so well done, and the editing is perfect, I love all three of your personalities! I can't choose who I love more! I love Good Andy because he is so precious, and hilarious. His humor is so innocent, it's adorable. I would 100% attend any parties he throws and eat candy with him as much as he wants. I love Evil Andy because of how blunt and just how much of a jerk-ass he is. I love his dark sense of humor that I feel is just the perfect shade of dark. I'd be cautious, but I'd wouldn't mind having a shot or two with him. I love Andy for his how funny/genuine he is, and how he gives films an honest chance. His revies both criticism and complements the films when goes over while throwing in the perfect humor XD I, personally, would love if you did the "other personalities take control of the body" thing more. I loved the paint brush moment from "The Void", as well as him the ending of "The Shining", or the beginning of the "Split" video. I love the skits so much! I hope to see more! Maybe a Boots To Reboots/Maniacal Cinephile film someday? Thank you so much for the content! I honestly can't say how much I love your videos. You rock, and you gained a new subscriber. I will stick around! I can't wait for more! Also, sorry for the long comment XD

I loved the humanity they gave the characters. There's the redemption-seeking coward, the youth eager to prove himself, the scholar, the salt-of-the-earth fisherman, the mother of three dead children who finds joy in being an aunt... I kept waiting for one of them to die, biting my nails the whole time. And of course, Godzilla itself was fucking terrifying. Did I find the plot-twist about Noriko being alive to be kind of lame? Yes, but it fits with the movie's message about not treating life cheaply, so I'm willing to give it a pass. Also, I took Evil Andy's dare and looked up virgin boy eggs. All I'm gonna say is: Yeesh. I am a lifelong Godzilla fan (just booked my G-Fest trip for 2024!) so my opinion is unreliable. Let me get that out there first. (And I can tell Andies are a deep fan as well.) This movie being a stand-alone in the timeline is nothing new. There is no singular Godzilla; he's DIED-died several times. I like this, it allows for flexible storytelling. (Anyone who has read any long-time ongoing comic book series knows what I'm talking about - there is no single Batman timeline! There are, like, 10 different recommended reading orders.) I love what the filmmaker did with this story, keeping it somewhat grounded while also fantastical. If you think about it for more than a minute, having TWO A-bombs dropped on one small country is in and of itself nearly surreal. Adding a giant lizard to the mix hardly seems out of place. Godzilla movies do tend to suffer from yak-yak-itis, often in a political way. But the people in this story are very human. Well done, heart felt, looks beautiful, G design is superbly classic and modern as Andy said. (The way it ended for the two mains was ridiculous, though, and felt pandery.) That said, my all-time favorite Godzilla movie (and I've seen 'em all, more than once, American movies included - I like the Legendary movies!) is Shin and it has been since the day I walked out of the theater. Shin is ultimate Godzilla and I wish they could have done the follow up they intended.

I have a lot of things to say about this movie. I disagree with what a lot of reviewers are saying, but as far as the film itself, I loved it!

@StitchedTogetherPictures Sadly with how busy it is around my house during Christmas I'll have to wait for streaming

It's sooo much better.. in yanks Godzilla movies, I'm rooting for the big G, the humans suck. But in G-1, I was terrified for the humans, and was engaged 100% every scene they were in.. really shows how far hollyweird has fallen..

please find time to watch it in theater, trust me. the big screen and sound adds to the experience.

@darianstarfrog When I watch the monster verse films I watch them for the monster fights anyway, so they give me what I want from that kind of film. I appreciate your opinion but I still enjoy the american ones for what they are. Everyone has different opinions on what they want from films and that's fine with me as long as we respect them.
