While I loved the last movie, it definitely felt more like a King Kong movie that had Godzilla in it. I guess that makes sense, considering it was only Kong's second appearance in these movies. But still, really hope for this one, Kong and Godzilla have an equal amount of screen time and plot.

I’m excited, I know it definitely won’t be in the same quality as Godzilla Minus One but I’m just here to have a good time and I’m all for having two different Godzilla series going on, one that’s more serious and one that’s more silly in the vein of the “Showa Era” Godzilla movies. Also didn’t expect this to be a pseudo remake of Son Of Kong either but here we are.

I love that they show how strong godzilla and kong are physically to where they can propel their bodies like battering rams. It really makes for some awesome scenes like when godzilla ran at ghidorah and made the huge sonic blast

I like the over exaggerated of the monarch franchise. We have 70 years of godzilla and most of them are a series tone and great movies, but this is different, its bright its loud and im all for it. Everyone who's batching and complain about its not as good as minus one, There are atleast 5 or 6 movies that watch/read/feel like older godzilla movies. This is new, and this is different. What would you expect after 70 years of not to much change. The anime took it to the next level with crazy shit,but when a live action movie does it, na it's wack. Let it be. It's monsters fighting end if story lol. (Edit I aint hating on MINUS ONE. best "classic or traditional" godzilla movie period).

Monsterverse Godzilla has been my all time fave version of the character. As a lifelong fan I’m giddy to see movies that are out there/ a blast like this & something like Minus One. Adam Wingard's handling of the franchise has left me with some mixed feelings. On the one hand, GVK was very entertaining and a lot of fun, but I have some serious issues with the plot. GVK really does a disservice to the character of Godzilla. They actually tried to make it sound as though he was "attacking cities," when he was mostly just attacking Apex. It's not a conspiracy - it is staring us dead in the face. Some of the side characters were downright cringey, especially the villains. The music wasn't nearly as good as Bear McCreary's score in KOTM. Godzilla attacks naval ships with no regard for human life - total 360 from his first appearance in 2014. This shot of Godzilla and Kong looks a little....cartoony. I'm ok with them being able to run, but I miss the scale of Gareth Edwards' portrayals sometimes. I don't see why they have to be "Taco Bell" movies, either. Why should we have to settle for dumb blockbusters when Japan gets cinematic gold like Minus One?
