Me and my family was homeless lost my kid for 2 years in the process we finally have a place and got my kids back thank God then found out my wife had cancer 😢 been fighting with this then we found out we have to move again and I'm really scared for my children and wife I pray for everyone that's homeless 💔 🙏 just hang on and pray no matter how you're stuggleing it's got to get better one day.

I am currently homeless staying where I can couches, tent, benches where I can. The funny thing is I don't have anything of my own really but, I spoke to a friend who gave me 10 dollars and was so grateful for the help I ended up giving half of the money with another homeless person who I met. The funny thing the person who I shared the money with won 25 on a scratch off and wanted to share it and I would not allow it I just said to them thats great for you please keep it and spend it on what you need I have what I need right now but thank you. A man overheard us and actually went shopping for food and some hygiene products and gave them to me. I was so touched.

Or, one person in the family feels they know better, possibly due to their profession, and infect the other members with their incorrect conclusions, effectively abandoning the member who is in a critical state. You put your finger on the hopelessness that comes from having a broken family and trying to succeed at GoFundMe, even though you have enough introspection to conclude your situation is dire.

Thats exactly what i've noticed also, I hate to say it but i'm going to its some (not all) Millenials,can relate to there story, exactly like the guy said. When I had enough I didn't even want any1 to know I donated money to there charity, It made me feel good. I'm so glad i passed it onto my children.

I used to teach my kids we have to do 1 thing every day for some1, and if they found out we did it, it didn't count, And when i was earning good money i always donated unknown as i did not want the recognition, It made me feel good that's all that mattered.

Hey Sal, loved your video about Go Fund Me. We've talked a few times and I purchased your course a few years ago. Have just finished my book after 4 years. I went to listen this video t start putting a campaign together for a good friend who has 3 kids with Aspergers/Autism. Lobson is 17 and knows Spanish/English and now learning Portugese. But the everyday problems with him and his 2 brothers are unbelieveable. Her husband left a few years ago and started another family. My friend also has her mother living with them who has dementia. She is 83 years old. She has thoughts that come and go of the SU word. SHE NEEDS HELP. i JUST WANT TO THANK YOU and plan on pursuing to see more of your videos. I normally don’t reach out for help mostly. But with this recent dental bill that’s putting a taxing weight on my income (Thanks auntie Rona lol) and the time I have to take off to recover for the surgeries. Ugh. This helped me cope and understand what to do

I am writing to you because I want to share what happened to my son in hopes that you can also help me share. My son was a victim of a carjacking on 9/21/22. We live in west palm beach Florida and he just so happened to be visiting the beach as he suffers from depression. He states that he stopped to send a text and next thing he knew he was being dragged and beaten out of the car. I can’t even imagine the horror my son was feeling in that moment but as his mother my heart breaks to know I couldn’t be there to protect him. When he tried to hold on to the car in order to keep the thieves from taking it they speeded up dragging his body in the process. My son stated that the next thing he knew he was lying on the side of road left for dead. He tried to flag people down to help him, and no one stopped(which my heart continues to break knowing I couldn’t be there to protect and save him). Finally a trucker stopped and called 911. Once my son reached the hospital they called my husband to tell him that our son had been taken to the hospital as a victim of a carjacking but couldn’t give us any further information until we arrived. As a mother, words and emotions could not describe what was going through my soul, but as God is my witness I cried out to God to take control of the situation and give me strength. When his dad arrived the police was there taking a report and my husband was taken back by how unprofessional they were handling the situation. They stated to my husband that they found our sons car with someone inside but did not arrest them because they did not have enough probable cause to do. My husband and I are still trying to wrap our heads on why the police made that type of decision knowing that the car had already been reported stolen and obviously the person inside of the car was not the actual owner. In the process of the doctors working on our son my husband came to get me because he didn’t want me driving and having an accident myself due to how distraught I was from the news. On my husbands way home the hospital called and told my husband that our son was ready to be picked up from the hospital. We where completely taken back as we could not understand how a hospital could release him considering that his injuries were significantly serious. When my husband arrived back at the hospital he found our son outside in a wheelchair. Our son was crying in agony and pain and made the immediate decision to take him to another hospital and advocate for him. The doctors who took care of son at the ER were full of empathy and compassion. They immediately took care of him and started working on his injuries and pain management. I’ve had to take time off work because I refuse to leave my son alone as this has been a horrible and traumatic experience for Alex. We received news yesterday that our son has a small brain injury and there may be a possibility of facial paralysis on his right side. We are praying and continuing to share his fundraiser in hopes that anyone reading this can help me spread the word. Nothing is working out for me too, there's no good job here in a third world place and I used to work daily labour in a brick factory which pays me $1.50/day. The best part is my mom, my sister and me are soon going homeless because we're getting kicked out of our houses. Long long story.

I want to thank you for this video. You are such a motivator! My son was struck by a car a few weeks ago. He died at the scene and was brought back to life. He died 2 more times at the hospital and by a miracle from God, he survived the tragic accident. He was on life support for two weeks. He has 9 broken ribs, a broken collarbone, a broken pelvic bone, 2 back fractures, 2 head fractures, brain hemorrhage, all the bones in his left arm is shattered, every bone in his left leg is shattered, every bone in his face is shattered, he had internal bleeding, both lungs collapsed, his spleen ruptured and they amputated his right hand. His left eye had to be re-attached back into his eye socket. He's had pneumonia for the past week. They inserted a trachea (which will remain for about a month). His jaw needs to be wired shut for 2 months. He's had 6 surgeries so far. His next surgery will be a Total Facial Reconstruction Surgery (which is the scariest in my opinion). He has metal plates, pins and screws in his arm and leg and the surgeons say that he will need many more metal plates and screws in his face. The list goes on. I wanted to ask from the bottom of my heart if you would be able to share the GoFundMe page with your followers or anyone you may know? I don't have any Social Media accounts so I won’t be able to share it that way. I have tried my hardest to spread the word by mouth but it hasn’t worked out. I don’t have any family that would be able to help me spread the word. I feel helpless and lost. My son needs a Guardian Angel. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to raise awareness for native American sacred sites particularly petroglyphs in the southwest and that's ancient history not of immediate traumatic need but it is in a way because these petroglyphs are being harmed and destroyed by vandals and we have developed a way to interpret the meanings. My ex husband left me for another woman after 19 years of marriage with three teenagers and no job after being a faithful house wife. I haven't been able to get a job with Covid going around and no transport to get me to work and back. Getting maintenance from my ex is a nightmare. Not only that I have been diagnosed with complex PTSD, anxiety and Depression. Sometimes the only food my kids have to eat is a bowl of rice. I want to start a go fund us to help to get back on our feet. I don't even know how I have managed to keep a roof over our heads

Great tips! I need to write mine for a necessary transplant. I have been dreading asking for help, especially amongst family members who havent been so supportive in n my life. My brother and his wife were going behind my back spreading rumours and gossip. They apparently wanted to do thier best to discredit me in advance of me ever going public about our upbringing. They want to keep her side of the family from ever finding out. Especially, because our sister died under suspicious circumstances involving our parents. So they figured since I left home young and mostly disassociated myself from my immediate family, that I might tell my story. So I unfriended them on my socials and try to stay incognito from them. Especially because they are sneaky. Its crazy. Anyways, I hope I can articulate my story well. Medical story, not upbringing. Im sure your strategies will be very helpful thanks.😊

I am an author of poetry and in the process of having a book published. I'd like to do one for my braces but i never liked to ask anyone for money, i just don't know what to do.. my teeth are very very crooked and when i think i'm a pretty girl but my teeth are ruining my face, that makes me cry :( the dentist told me that i really need the braces and not just because they are crooked and it's unsightly,but because they will fall because they are too tight. This scared me! I don't want to lose my teeth, i m only 20 years old :( . Is this a good reason to create an accout on gofundme or not? Am i selfish? Start a go fund me sweetie, I see people ask for money just to sit on their butt. Everyone is different, but you have a legitimate reason, You want to improve your smile, nothing Wrong with making a go fund me, it’s worth a shot. Good luck. Thank you for the information Sal. I run a Centre for special needs children (Autism and other related disorders) in Nigeria. Here, special children are largely neglected and government support is close to zero. We have trained and are still training a good number of special needs children. We need supports from kind hearted individuals and organisations to put structure (building) in place, equip our centre more, while keeping the fee very low because of the high level of the poverty around here

Hello sir I've never done anything like this before n not computer savvy at all I just need help in so .much has happened to me n I don't want to share everything on you tube but I'm just guna say I've got liver cancer n start getting treatment on the January 17th n with the morgantown wv cancer center I just had a preme babies after losing on last yr he was 30 weeks old inside me n four days left him in me dead my hospital did it to me n it was cruel what they did to me n my dead baby also im losing my family home bec of covid n that I can't work or my husband he's 54 I'm 39 I've got 4 kids alive nbhad two die there amazing kids my 20yr old is autistic n was beaten up by the man that raised him n treats me so Badly but I don't have nothing to get me away from this man but no money to help us leave n start over

I'm trying to start a GoFundMe and I've never tried anything close to this in my life. A seventeen-year-old boy murdered by Fugitive. Most officers say this fugitive has made it to Mexico. But they're also being hammered with nearly $300,000 medical bills and that is after insurance. I think a lot of these medical bills was because they were trying to keep him on life support since he was semi-functional for a bit period want to start a GoFundMe and I thought I'd ask thank you for your video

Tell the Bill collectors to go to +&^$% tey cant do anything to you as of 2023 medical bills do not affect your credit report. You can go bankrupt on those bills and not go bankrupt on your credit cards or a car loan. Don't allow yourself to be bullied by the bill collectors

I got this gofundme for a 2 month old puppy (Tommy) that has facial paralysis and can't blink his eyes and his eyes are drying up the first owner never treated his condition and by the time the person that has this puppy took him to the vet his eyes are severly damage. I was the first person to donate and up to this day No one has donated. I feel sad because I feel like no one has seen (Tommy) his gofundme. Sometimes I wonder if gofundme actually do share this gofundme if you don't tip them?

Sal, I posted a link today trying to help my dog Jingles get an Echocardiogram. I'm happy to hear my instincts were correct in telling a personal story. I'm afraid after listening to your video, I wont achieve success. I have no experience re: Social Media and no interactions with any of which is available. I only have 1 friend and no family at my age of 64. The past 20 years I've been diagnosed with a mental disorder and social stigma segregates me from the world and also, living in a disabled senior community. I dont speak Spanish and the community I live, is Mexican decent and Spanish speaking only. I thought gofundme.com would provide a network to reach out to help those in need who are alone and without resources from Social Media. So I’m planning on starting a go fund me to raise about $100 for my boyfriends birthday cuz He is an incredible provider and best friend, I want to do this for him as an expression of my love and gratitude. There’s more to it, but I was wondering if it is a valid reason to start a go fund me campaign in the first place, cuz it’s not exactly a dire need as much as it is a good deed. ...I’m still gona try it out, while I wait for an opinion.

“When you give someone too much too fast, they fall in love with your hand instead of your heart.” People have been in relationships for millennia before GoFundMe. You shouldn’t need strangers money to show your love for someone. Also, how old are you? Why not get a job? Why settle for a single hundred when you can potentially provide infinite hundreds? Lmao That’s just me tho.

A birthday gift for a guy? If you have to wonder whether a cause is valid enough or not, it's probably best not to start a campaign over it. Other people shouldn't have to pay for a gift that you'll get credit for.. that money could easily be attainable by working a shift or two and a stranger could donate to a greater cause. So unless you aren't able to work, it wouldn't be right imo. There are plenty more people who are in need and start campaigns as a last resort for emergencies and dire situations.

I had two strokes and reached that age where health problems have become serious, like loss if teeth snd slthough I got help I lost the help cause more teeth cane loose and now I need a whole new mouth, I need a housekeeper from the stroke I cannot clean or get to the doctors, snd I need surgery goes from there , I need new v Clothes, my clothes are rags and I need Pajsnas bad, and bedding, pillows ect, I can keep going but I also need the cheapest way for my funeral I figure cremation is cheapest, my family is poor and we need house repairs seriously or we’ll never be able to sell it, I have so many issues I do t know where to start, is there anything in here that is not good to mention? Or too much stuff said, I don’t want to seen greedy but I need everything, how do you ask for everything without sounding g greedy ?

Sal, Let's say you are planning a GoFundMe campaign. You have a story on video to tell. You plan to share that story with both friends and family and inform the news media. But, should you include some kind of PERK to encourage people to give money to your crowdfunding campaign? Obviously, you cannot give money back to those who give money to your campaign. That makes no sense. Therefore, what should you "give back" as a PERK to those willing to give you money? Do you think a spreadsheet of LInkedIn connections - complete with profile web address and email address would be appreciated? Do you think if you also through in a video explaining what to do with that spreadsheet would help to seal the deal? I see that some people actually SELL LinkedIn leads for money. Therefore, why not use LinkedIn leads as a "thank you" for giving money to a crowdfunding campaign? I would appreciate knowing your thoughts.
