Goku mentions SSJ2/3 because Gohan’s ki is normal not god ki. In the Granolah arc Goku knows the difference between god and regular ki. When Vegeta transforms to UE for the first time. Goku says he knows that ki meaning he knew it was a ki of a god of destruction. Gohan’s transformation has SSJ ki in it. So the theory that’s going around about Gohan’s new transformation is a mix of SSJ and Ultimate. Goku, Vegeta, Toppo and Uub are the only mortals so far mentioned with god ki. Everyone else has normal ki at max potential.

King Piccolo originated from him and reincarnated as Piccolo Jr. then fused with Kami. As for Gohan if he later has god ki too is because of his training with the Z sword and elder supreme kai unlocking his max potential. Uub inherited his god ki from Kid Buu who absorbed the 2 kais when it was Super Buu. Yeah, it wouldn't be too far fetched if both have god ki too.

Hence Vegeta scold Gohan when he was fighting Dabura because his SSJ2 form got weaker compared to SSJ2 in the Cell saga. Then in the Frieza Ressurection arc, Gohan struggled to even transform into SSJ. In the exhibition matches vs U9, Gohan only tapped into SSJ. Until the tournament of power it was when Gohan reunlocked Ultimate form. Since then Ultimate has been Gohan's go to for transformation and power. Gohan hasn't really used his SSJ2 to its max since the cell saga. That same explosion of ki that was felt at Beerus planet by Goku and Vegeta. It was similar to when Gohan transformed for the first time into SSJ2 vs Perfected Super Cell. Hence right away Goku and Vegeta knew who's ki it was that they were feeling across the universe. Since Gohan doesn't have the best track record when it comes to leveling up. Goku also mentions SSJ3 because its the next level up from SSJ2. It is definetly not god ki like UE or UI because by now both Goku and Vegeta know the differences of the power ki. Gohan is basically the new Jiren right now until Broly learns to control his rage. Jiren was powerful that he could easily take UI omen.

Ultimate is the expression of 100% of Gohan's potential as a warrior. While he was maturing, that potential was growing. It has presumably fully capped out now, Ultimate likely won't grow any stronger. As for Beast, it's a secondary power, the manifestation of Gohan's Inner Beast whatever that is

Now that they've refined it from the goofy way it looked in CGI & Toriyama's initial designs, I absolutely love the way Beast looks. My favorite part of SSJ2 Teen Gohan was how impressive and wild his hair design was. It was really distinct from his regular appearance and really made me fall in love with SSJ2. It's still my favorite form (neglected as it is lol). Now, Beast is literally that, just pushed even further beyond. I couldnt think of a more fitting aesthetic for a Gohan final form.

The real thing to take note of, is how goku reacts to beast. Him and vegeta sweat at the site of gohan. On top of that he goes right into MUI. Goku could easily be like “yea nice form but let’s see if you can handle blue kaioken.” Really hope gohan sets a new bar for goku and vegeta to reach. Plus I prefer gohan more active in the story

Goku and Vegeta by now know the difference between god and normal ki. That’s why Goku says SSJ2 or SSJ3 because Gohan Beast transformation has the SSJ ki in it. It’s Ultimate plus SSJ2 that creates Beast.

So 5, 8 and 15 or something like that is more like 15 being S+ tier and 5 being D-, so like F tier/ a 1 would be the farmer Two. Please correct me if I’m wrong but like do we really know how bearus became that powerful to begin with? Saiyans being able to abuse biology to get stronger, namekiens (Kami’s life) being able to split and reconnect and become one with shenron or something (Orange piccolo). Frezas race is just OP with potential. But like what about Bearus? I don’t think we really know other then he was “chosen” and was basically granted immortality life span wise kinda. In the manga Beerus just asks Whis if that's the strongest, and Whis replies with "seems like it". I think you should have clarified that in the video. Still you and Chronicles are the goats, I just wanted to point that out. And I'm excited for that Beerus video.

I feel like it fits that Goku asked what form Gohan was using before he saw it. It's completely in his character to forget that Gohan has Ultimate, especially since his hair color does not change in the form. So I can imagine him asking him like "Damn Gohan that was a lot of power, what form were you using SS2, or maybe you unlocked Ss3?!" Trunks SS2 was around on par with Goku's Ss3 at the beginning of the Zamasu arc, and Vegeta surpassed SS3 Goku using pure rage in his SS2 form when Beerus hit Bulma.

There's STILL alot ppl don't understand from the Goku Gas fight. Gas' wish was different. Seems to be always the strongest, where as Granolah only wished to be the strongest at THAT moment. Hence why Goku seemed to 'power down' in an attempt to outlast Gas as becoming stronger only makes him stronger. When Frieza appeared, Gas just died trying to catch up. That same Frieza clapped both Goku & Vegeta right after being healed from their Gas fight. So Beast vs UI will gauge where Gohan falls on that spectrum. Who bets Beast will totally outclass UI or will they be even??

So there a lot of things going on in these last 2 chapters. First the fact that Carmine and 15 are there recording leads me to believe we maybe getting an android 21 saga. Vomi was teased back in super hero, and the red ribbon army is still present after the events of super hero in the form of Carmine and 15, heck even their truck is displaying the red ribbon army logo. Second, if Goku and Vageta could “feel” Gohans ki all the way on Berus’s planet, whose to say the Freeza force weren’t able to pick it up as well on their scouters? And with Goku and Gohan sparing on Berus’s planet, Freeza could now know the location of Berus’s planet if ever he wants to make a move. Freeza does have a higher goal in mind especially ever since the events of the ToP. If the Z warriors end up having to face another threat, maybe android 21, whis and Berus would stay home, while the Z warriors go handle some shit, only to return to the defeat of lord Berus. All I’m saying is something is about to go awry.

The idea of Goku asking Gohan if it was one of the standard yellow SS forms probably stems from his experience of witnessing the other hybrid Saiyan F. Trunks being able to possess enough power in just SS2 to scare Goku into going from SS3 to SSG (manga continuity), lol. So, of course, when it comes to his own son Gohan, who everyone knows is THE hybrid prodigy, he would think all of that power he sensed could possibly come from Gohan in a hypothetical mastered SS3.
