The only Dragon Ball vs Invincible match-up that I like is Bardock vs Omni-Man but what you stated in this video applies to that battle. Bardock is stronger and more durable, Omni-Man is faster, and Omni-Man's body breaks the moment he tries to hit Bardock despite Bardock not being able to keep up with him.

I like that you pointed out flying speed being different from fighting speed. I think this is something that death battle doesn't take into consideration. It is a very different thing to move from point A to point B than to utilize that same speed in a fight that would involve chaotic and unpredictable motions.

This can easily be proven by anyone as well. You running at top speed is fatster than you trying to dodge an attack or throwing a punch because you're focusing on running only. Attack speed, running speed, reaction speed are all different scale of speed.

For future reference, the Virgo supercluster is not the same as the Virgo cluster, the milky way is contained within the Virgo supercluster, so for that point, Omniman could have travelled to any planet nearby and called it a day. So the 3 Billion x FTL number wouldn't be correct.

1) Any distance is conjecture at that point, but the fact that they call it the virgo super cluster rather than Local is likely meant to indicate distance 2) Mark specifies that Viltrum, talescria, etc are in a different galaxy to Earth so at the very least it would be 2 million light years and up since they didn't mention any dwarf galaxies. AND keep in mind that Thraxa was far enough away to be mostly off radar for the CoP despite it having 1750 member planets and thousands more colonies (which doesn't simply include neighboring planets) and the fact that Earth IS on the CoP radar. So that should give some indication of how far it is. Keep in mind that ships could travel between Talescria and Earth in 2 weeks despite them being in separate galaxies as the ships could use wormhole and superliminal tech, but Mark alone was faster. Plus Nolan himself wasn't going top speed and was stopping to think about his actions but still did it in a week. I really dont think the initial 65 million light years measurement is wrong. It doesn't change the discussion either since DB characters are WAY faster.

In reality Gohan would just beg him not to fight him even though he’s stronger and it would probably work. One thing I don’t think was considered was how timid Gohan was as a child, even after training and so he was prone to more rash decisions, and only when he was angry enough to fight. If it was at any point when he still had his tail there’s a slim possibility Mark could have eventually figured out it was his weakness assuming for some reason he would continue trying to beat up a small, scared child.

In base super saiyan god goku and beerus were trading blows that threatened to destroy the multiverse so that alone makes most of the DB cast able to tank any blows from the invincible universe.

There's quite literally not a single character in the entirety of the Invinciverse that can even begin to fight or phase Gohan with the sole exception of Atom Eve with her "no powers on organics" limiter removed since she can control matter. But the entire Viltrumite race could come at Gohan, even the entire race before they culled themselves, and they would still get clapped hard.

You're forgetting that dragon ball characters can bypass space manipulation etc depending on how strong they are which is how Goku can still move even when hit stops time. Not to mention we've literally seen DBZ character tank abilities similar to eve. Are you forgetting that buu literally has matter manipulation? Buu turned gogeta into chocolate and gogeta was still fucking him up to the point where he fazed buu and got reverted back and eve is no where near as strong as buu. Her ability would more than likely not even affect the Saiyan. Note this was also during the bui saga. The DBZ characters are alot stronger now.

one thing to add to the travel speed/combat speed debate is that: SPEED IS NOT THE SAME AS ACCELERATION! if you want to travel through empty space as fast as you can, what you want to do is accelerate the first half of the journey and deaccelerate the second half. in a battle you only have at most a couple of seconds to do this. so unless their superpowers include gaining momentum without force then yes travel speed and combat speed are very different

In the vacuum there is no friction/resistance so each time you accelerate all the energy is conserved as speed right so even if you put the same effort in pushing your speed will exponentialy increase.

Yeah, this is an all-around loss for Mark. Like if the only version of Gohan he can beat is before and maybe a little bit after Piccolo's training then is that really a satisfying victory? Mark essentially has to beat him either when he's a baby (not technically but you know what I mean) or when he's just finished training with Piccolo where he lacky any battle experience. It just makes Mark look bad for A, beating up a toddler and B, the fact he can only beat him when he's a toddler.

The durability thing is the biggest issue for me when it comes to Invincible vs anybody, ever since i saw the comic where all those aliens just rush Mark and hit him like a human hitting the ground at terminal velocity. Crazy stuff

Yeah that's cool but gohans first appearance got a power level of 1300. Character with 230 power level blew up the moon mid fight. Viltrimites were killed by much less powerful blasts in the comics. Dragon ball characters are busted. I love the invincible comics but no one in the entire comics could touch roshi, krillan, goku, or yamcha in the first tournament. Thragg would not win even the first tournament in original dragon ball

yeah but thats just viltrums being naturally hard while having Ki can make you hard too. kid goku with a low powerlevel took a bullet to the head and got a scratch. think of it like this. ray gun to a Goku not on guard with his Ki, it went through his chest. a laser beam 50,000x stronger than the laser beam bounced off Goku's head and simply gave him a head scratch when he first went ssj1 on namek. basically Kid gohan could walk through people splatting them too if he had his ki up and wanted to do it.

Problem is, does Invincible have any sort of transformations or power up methods beyond his base form? even if they're equaled out at the beginning, DBZ has a ludicrous number of ways to stack force multipliers. For the sake of the argument, let's say they are both balanced out at a Power level of 1000 at base. Attacks like the Kamehameha have a >2 multiplier. Gohan has multiple levels of super saiyan (up to 100x multiplier) and Ultimate, which removes the stamina concern for the super saiyan states. Generously (for invincible) estimating Ultimate at only being the same 100x as SSJ2, Gohan could still transform and shoot up to 200,000 vs 1000, and start throwing Kamehamehas or Makakasapos around if that fails to turn Invincible into vapor. Thus, to have an actual contest of martial abilities, you would not only need to balance Gohan down to Invincible's level in base, but also further handicap him by locking him out of basically any form or technique he has that acts as a force multiplier along with probably giving him a nearly lethal dosage of Xanax or a stupid amount of weed to keep him from being able to get any sort of rage boost to jump back up to several times Invincible's level. In other words, you'd need to basically handicap him with "Only using Mr. Satan approved techniques".

I don't think y'all understand how powerful the DBZ universe really is. Vegeta, at power 18,000, blew up a planet from orbit cause he was bored. He didn't scream and power up first, he just ended the planet. Not to be outdone on ANY level however, is that in the same season, Piccolo, at around 1,300 power, casually blew up the moon to stop Gohan's transformation into Ozaroo (That poor bunny person). Gohan is demonstrated to be MORE powerful than either of these two when he hits rage mode at the age of six. Then EVERYONE got a *million* times stronger before achieving LITERAL God Powers. By the time it's Beerus vs. Goku, they have to worry about tearing the universe as they fight. EVERY single fighter in that universe is specially trained to even be able to SEE the fights going on because all of them are moving so fast that the naked eye can't perceive it anymore. This gets a callback during the Cell Games when Cell and Goku go at it. The cameramen and Mr. Satan (Who is actually a powerful fighter if you don't line him up alongside the Z Fighters) can't even see what's happening aside from a bunch of flashes of light and booming sounds where they connect. YAMCHA would fold most superheroes across the various universes.

I mean just how I equate it. Invincible, until potentially his epilogue adult self, could not destroy a planet. Maybe at the stage he killed Thrag you could argue it but I doubt it. Let’s highball and say he could do it, maybe without even too too much difficulty. Beast Gohan is supposed to scale with and even surpass Goku’s MUI at the time. At least in raw power. Goku at the START of super when he first got SSG, was unbelievably weaker then he is when I’m referring. And was alresdy threatening the universe with the aftershocks of punch collisions. Goku is easily universal to multiversal at this point I’d recon. Putting Gohan right up at the higher figured of that. So someone who can possibly destroy multiple universes through raw power. Versus someone who can destroy planets on his higher figures. Hmmm. Wonder who it goes to.

I think nowadays a lot of people just pick the character they think is cooler, ignore the other show even if they haven’t seen it so they have no business talking about it, and just decide the character they think is cool wins. You are ABSOLUTELY free to decide that a character wins just because you think they’re cooler. But when you waltz into an actual debate with that mindset you achieve absolutely nothing, waste the other persons time, and then leave having gained nothing and had no meaningful interaction. It DOES NOT MATTER how cool you think the characters in invincible are. The OTHER guy, gohan, is literally faster than the concept of time. He is SIGNIFICANTLY faster than a version of goku who was moving so quickly that he straight up ignored a time skipping hax. There ARE no hax in invincible that change the outcome of this fight. Because the other characters are so unbelievably slow and weak in comparison that he has LITERALLY infinite time to react to ANYTHING that they do, and there is no circumstance under which he doesn’t one shot them. The character that you think is super cool, is still super cool even if they lose a hypothetical fight. Gohan vs the invincible universe is literally the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. It’s non ironically the equivalent of Superman vs a sick, starving, crippled, blind, paraplegic puppy that doesn’t even wanna win. Please stop. 💀

I like to think that the way flight works in Invincible is somewhat based on gravity, resistance, and acceleration. Like maybe it's harder to fly while near a gravity well, so you can't fly as fast. Plus, on a planet with an atmosphere, there'd be air resistance slowing you down, so it might get too much for some faster flight, ESPECIALLY if they dien't want to just destroy LITERALLY EVERYTHING around themselves as they flew. Also, it's possible that Omniman was CONSTANTLY accelerating for a while which allowed him to have enough time to REACH those potential 3 billion+ ftl speeds. Bet he wasn't instantly 3 billion+ ftl the second he left the Earth's atmosphere.

but its in relation to how hard they are attacking though, if you drop a pillow off a building it probably won't do much to the pillow. but if that pillow is moving 10 times the speed of light then the pillow will explode on impact. The same thing happens to asteroids that hit the moon when they are going a certain speed, in stead of crashing on the moon the speed and smaller size causes the astroid to completely explode rather than land. Immovable object vs unstable force, except sadly for Mark he isn't unstoppable.

Yeah but you might also have to take into consideration that krillin knows how to fight so while he is hitting his hardest, he isnt reaching the point of destroying himself when punching. Furthermore, Krillin can also use Ki to protect his body so that it doesnt break apart when punching cell. While Cell just could'nt be bothered to block or use any energy to defend himself. That means that there is no retaliation from cell and Krillin is essentially a skilled martial artist punching a wall. While he will not do any damage at all, he will also not break his hand since he knows how to control himself and protect his body with Ki.

The 3 billion times the speed of light feat gets more silly the more you seem to use it as the only way Mark has a chance. Omni-man going as far as 65 million light years to another galaxy cluster is impressive, but it's not as impressive when you account for him building up speed after hours and days of travel. Viltrumites can achieve faster than light speeds, but only if they build up speed over an extended journey, and apparently they can eventually achieve mindnumbing speeds over a week, but then he'd need to slow himself down which is also impressive at such speeds. My assumption based on some info and based on how Omni-man and other Viltrumites fight is that they do have very impressive reaction times, and can fight and move faster than the human eye can follow, but for the same reason Omni-man has to take minutes to travel around Earth to different spots, going near the speed of light near any planet with his mass would destroy everything nearby, especially in atmosphere. I don't think for a second that Omni-man or any viltrumite can go from 0 to 3 billion times the speed of light in combat, that's silly. I think they can achieve faster than sound speeds in an instant as it has been shown, and they can approach half or more of the speed of light in atmosphere, so that's a more realistic combat speed gauge, it ruins the fight you're trying to potray by leaning on the "Mark might just blitz Gohan." I think they're actually very comparable up until after the Saiyan Saga, but even then Gohan has the advantage in terms of using Ki blasts, and even at a surpressed level he's more powerful than Mark. Mark is limited by physical attacks and his own durability, Gohan has every advantage he has but he is just simply capable of outputting more raw energy in the form of physical attacks, plus ki blasts that multiply your max capacity of Ki by around 2x or more if you charge them. If Piccolo could destroy the moon, utterly vaporizing it with an attack he didn't even charge, you can bet that someone like Radditz could probably destroy the Earth if he charged a technique. 10,000 as a requirement to destroy a planet the size of Earth is not right to me, but narratively I don't care much for those inconsistencies since it's not much of a focus, the jump from city level to planet level happens so quickly that everyone can do it by the Saiyan Saga if they actually tried and practiced for some. When it comes down to it, it's shwon your reaction times and reflexes depend on your power level as well, as soon as Gohan was over 500-1000 in power level, he would then be able to react to Mark, and would be more powerful. Now would he be able to use his strength to 100%, I don't think so most of the time he'd struggle and Mark might hit him a good deal of times, he'd also hurt him more than likely since when you're caught off guard and aren't charged up to near 100%, you are susceptible to damage from weaker fighters, some even as weak as your 20% power.

Yeah PL in DB are a little ridiculous. And 10,000 to blow up Earth is hilariously way too high. It takes a PL of roughly 400 (as we don't know the minimum but that's about what Roshi hit with his Kamehameha) to blow up the moon. Earth is just about 4 times larger than the moon. Since nobody seems to be able to answer if PL scales linearly or exponentially, let's go with linear. And if thats the case you'd only need between like... 1,600-2,000 to destroy Earth.

It's definitely strange how Raditz should be dozens of times stronger just like a fight between 20 PL vs 100 PL. I like Master Roshi's feat a lot more than piccolo's feat of destroying the moon, makes power scaling more consistent. In My opinion, 500 PL - 1,000 PL is when you're able to potentially shatter or vaporize the Earth with a proper technique. Raditz should have been easily capable, so would Nappa for sure. Vegeta destroying the earth with a charged up Galick gun was him making sure Goku had no chance of stopping it. It'd be reasonable for him to do what King Vegeta did in his filler episode, a flick of your hand, a simple ki blast with intent, or a slightly charged up ki blast technique, so sound the PL of 6,000 - 10,000 is when it's very easy to destroy Earth sized planets and above.

Piccolo has some really interesting techniques. Early dbz he had created a technique that was capable of drilling through multiple objects, or people in the raditz fight case. being able to use techniques that use an attack power even higher than your own is an absolute crazy power. even if gohan's punches can't hurt Mark that much. he's got such a crazy ability up his sleeve that would fry Mark. also we mustn't forget that in the same saga Krillin, who mind you was weaker than Piccolo, ALSO had a crazy strong ability. had Nappa blocked the destructo disk, he'd be dead. Vegeta was genuinely concerned by both the destructo disk and the masenko. remember that Nappa was outright bullying them and even he had to dodge the destructo disk. it sliced clean through a mountain and kept flying into likely space. by the time of namek we are shown that you can direct destructo disks. remember this technique is the technique that scared Nappa and make him bleed from just the edge of it. it made Nappa, who had been barely stratched by tien and his tri beam, bleed.

This is why it's hard to gauge anything in DB, because clearly nothing is written with consistency in mind, but more "rule-of-cool" or whatever best fits the narrative at that time. "Wow, I can't even follow their movements!" is just a generic "they are currently extremely strong - if not the strongest - relative to this point in the story" thing that is said for dramatic reasons, rather than being an intentional measure of some fixed property of the universe. This is why power levels got so absurd, because they skated a very tenuous line between being presented as something concrete and factual in-universe, yet merely a dramatic device that lacks consequence. Imagine if scouters had a built in speedometer too and imagine how absurd that would be once they got to "lightspeed" and then had to continue getting bizarrely "faster" because the stakes need to continually be raised.

Now imagine how powerful a Viltrumite/Saiyan hybrid would be like what if an alternate universe Omniman got stuck in the Dragon Ball Universe by Angstrom Levy. Depending on which saga Nolan arrives at I'm pretty sure he would be smart enough to notice the power gap between him and the saiyans and realize he would have to "learn their ways". What I mean is that he would learn how to control his ki in order to have a chance against them. This applies to him as in the DBZ universe every living being possesses ki. He would act as a hero to gain goku's trust, learn about ki control and ask him to teach him how to utilize it in exchange for daily battles(considering viltrumite stamina is much higher than a saiyan and goku loves to fight) Now consedering Viltrumite biology is extremely adaptive he wouldn't have much of a hard time learning how to control it and his potential could be quite impressive. I think he could get to Frieza's level but I might be wrong. Also once he realizes how powerful saiyans are compared to him he would devise a plan to create Viltrumite/Sayans hybrids once he finds a female saiyan(like Gohan's daughter... once she's an adult ofc) thus creating one of the most powerful species in that universe. The Viltraiyans Considering Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Goten and Trunks won't live much longer than humans all he has to do is play hero until they die while spawning more Viltraiyans. Eventually there will be hundreds of millions of them and Nolan learning with Gohan that Saiyans/Human hybrids have much more potential than pure saiyans he would make the Viltraiyans mate with humans. With both Viltrumite and Saiyan dna being dominant their human dna would make up of less than 1% of their total dna. Making the new hybrids 99% Viltraiyans with MUCH more potential. Nolan will teach them the ways of Ki that he learned with Goku and the gang. They will use the time chamber to get stronger much faster and with their lifespans they would train and train for centuries. Once they populate the whole Earth they will expand their new empire through the galaxy. All hail The Viltraiyan Empire.

I really feel like viltrumites are based off saiyans. I feel like if we ground the DragonBall characters more, and write off planet destroying as a ki-specific property of their strength, then post-cell Gohan would be a good match up. The actual strength feats we see in DBZ are much closer to viltrumiyes without ki blasts, which I do think they can at least take. When we see Marks dad destroy the surface of a planet in the show, I feel like they could actually destroy a planet by flitting straight through it. So I do think cell saga characters are compatible to viltrumites

The only difference between invincible and Gohan is that invincible is always near his max ki since he has no techniques to surpress that power. "How does he open a door without breaking it then" it's a little like how you intentionally lose to an arm wrestling contest with a child. Even when that happens your durability isn't taking a hit. Right after that arm wrestling contest if the child were to punch you with their full strength you would take no DMG. That's how it is.

Once they increase their ki to their max, then they can become strong enough to tank energy blast enough to wipe out stars. They're not using ki reinforce themselves, ki control is just something that these characters use to change their stats and unleash their true power if needed. The thing about attacking someone more durable causing you to just implode, the attack you throw has to be done at damn near full strength. Like you're out to kill that person, so much so that you literally just cannot stop your momentum once that contact is made. I'm not saying Invincible could beat any late stage Gohan. But he wouldn't just atomize himself attacking him. Whichever earlier Gohan you pit him against wouldn't really be able to react at all, but he also wouldn't really take significant damage either. This would be about as close to a stalemate as it could get. Gohan can't fight back, and Invincible can't win.

Ki detection. Literally, everything has ki. Even the farmer with a shotgun had ki, but it was so low that it couldn't be detected unless you were searching for it or using a scouter directly on him. With his superpowers, it can be considered a high level of ki that can be detected.

5:39 the above lightspeed feats only ever happen in the vacuum of space an have been repeatedly confirmed by both the story and the author to only be possible in space. Because there's no atmosphere or gravity and viltrumites can continuously increase their flight speed without ever stopping due to no physics restrictions. This is impossible in earth or any other planet as in an actual combat setting within a planet they would never have time to build up speed or momentum and are limited to Relativistic+ to light speed
