Great hunt and hat off to Brady for patience and determination to make his tag work. Question - I haven't been able to find out what muzzle loader he was using for the hunt? Looked amazing given the elevation adjustment peep sight in the back and quick reloading. Was there a reason why he didn't use a scope on the gun?
@GOHUNT5 ай бұрын
Greatly, greatly appreciate that. Brady really wanted to do this tag justice and it while it was heartbreaking for him to walk away from that bull as he couldn't see through his peep with legal shooting light left, it was the best decision he could have ade. The muzzleloader setup is made by Arrowhead Rifles out of Arizona. They make amazing rifles and muzzleloaders!! It's setup in 45 cal and is their Orion package muzzy with a Revic Exo adjustable muzzy sight on top. That peep sight setup is very nice being able to adjust for distance. Shooting 300 grain NSR bullets with Blackhorn 209 primers. And the stock is a McMillan Game Warden 2.0. The reason he didn't use a scope is the state he was hunting requires hunters to use peep sights. So it added an extra challenge to the hunt, but one that Brady was excited for.

can someone explain to me why its so coveted to “draw” this tag? like how does it work can anyone not buy a bull elk tag?
@GOHUNT5 ай бұрын
Happy to help. And great question. You need to apply in a draw for an elk tag in the state Brady was hunting. And then you build up points each year you don't draw. Which are basically then more names in the hat each year you keep applying. And in this state, they don't give out many elk tags, so it's typically a very long wait to draw a bull tag. Thanks for watching!
