You sound like a guy who knows “no thanks” when he hears it. But a huge portion of the male population assume you’re playing hard to get or that you will at least break and give in. It’s disgusting and exhausting and after awhile women just learn to say no much more aggressively and the nice guys are just collateral damage. Even in my 20s and loving the loud music and dancing, I just gave up on going to night clubs because I spent too much energy trying not to be groped and harassed.
