I can totally relate to your experience. I spent 6 years in a master program but not as strong as you, I gave up and transferred major. Feeling defeated and unworthy because you know the traditional asian culture asks us to tough up and fight through. Went through a depression episode when I couldn't find a job after graduation, also feeling guilty of spending my parents' money and not being able to give back. It took me a while to digest and re-adapt myself into the reality. I just wanna say I am proud of you Jason. See how far you've come! I also would like to share a poem with you and I hope you enjoy it. "New York is 3 hours ahead of California, but that doesn't make California slow. Someone graduated at the age of 22, but waited 5 years before securing a good job. Someone became a CEO at 25, and died at 50. While another became a CEO at 50, and lived to 90 years. Someone is still single, while someone else got married. Obama retired at 55, while Trump started at 70. Everyone in this world works based on their time zone. People around you might seem to be ahead of you, and some might seem behind you. But everyone is running their own race, in their own time. Do not envy them and do not mock them, they are in their time zone, and you are in yours. Life is about waiting for the right time to act. So relax. You're not late. You're not early. You are very much on time."

Please, don’t apologize for this content - it didn’t come across as “sentimental”, rather it’s a genuine reflection and commentary on insights you’ve gained. You’ve come to realize a lot about life values at a still quite young age. I was much older when I came to a similar recognition of the deep significance of having a “sense of place” in the world and the gift of a family of people who gave a solid beginning to my life. Those two things will stand you in good stead wherever you go, whatever you do. The world needs you, and, more individuals like you and John. I’m someone who’s paying attention when you’re speaking, whether funny or serious; you bring out a beautiful human connection in new contexts. I know I would like you as my neighbor! (Sorry I’m too old to throw my hat in the ring contending as your girlfriend!) Keep on keeping on, Jason.

Subscribed to Jason ahjusshi. Don't be sorry about sharing your thoughts. I appreciate that you are open to sharing. As an introvert it takes time to share certain things with people, let alone put your thoughts and personal life out there on YT. Beautiful scenery and awesome that you got to spend time with your family. 👍The manual lawnmower though 😂

Please don't apologize for letting your walls down and expressing your feelings, thoughts, and emotions. It's what makes you human and also reminds us viewers that KZbinrs are just like us. So excited for your channel and journeys Dr. Jason! (You've worked hard for that title - flex it any chance you can get!). Btw totally enjoyed this content!
