There were many women who have argued with me that bilogically both males and females have the same level of urges.

In reality we all feel the same shit we just express it differently and some of us are conditioned to fill things that really ought not to exists. Sad part is ive come to realize that the former tends to be the leading dominate role of are society.

She said it, "men need to be taught to be civilized', and society expect women to sacrifice herself to help him do that. Women are tired.

The plain truth: neurology can only SPECULATE on which regions of the brain cause men to behave in certain ways. It will never be scientifically proven. You can only guess based on different evidence. I don't have such a deterministic view. I think nation library raises men in a certain way that can be valuable but often times destructive. To buy into all of this determinism is to say that men cannot change their behavior, which I feel is nuts and defeats our entire purpose of being here as humans and as Gods children: to rise above our basic instincts.

I think we can buy into everything she is saying but I don't think this is to say that men cannot change their behaviour. Every human being is born with a natural instinct to FLINCH when someone throws a punch. By training in boxing or a similar sport, this natural response can be trained to be ignored in favour of better responses. Likewise, a man who is aware (thanks to the Dr's advice) of the underlying reasons for his behaviour can understand himself better and implement techniques such as meditation and cognitive therapy to ensure that he exhibits more advantageous behaviours than those naturally prescribed by his reptilian brain. I am basically agreeing with you here. With the right mindset, what she is saying can be helpful to understand ourselves and to rise above our basic instincts. Saying that.... I still wanna fuck and I will continue to.

It just would have been so much better if she had talked about a spectrum of experiences, with MOST men and MOST women falling within a predictable range. We can just say "men are like this" or "women are like that" because it is not true. The outcome of being that sloppy with language is that ends up hurting people.

Yes, I think her knowledge is extremely valuable but what you said is an excellent point. Of course a rational person understands that she is generalising, but too many people will take it personally and discount what she's saying because of the automatic "but I'M not like that!" reaction. She should pay attention to this small detail to reach more people and be more compelling.

@@PCP1992 Yes, you are right. Exceptions are gonna be there no matter what we talk about. We can only speak about anything generally. It's a common sense. So then we don't have to have 'I'm not like that' reaction.

Women think about sex more than women do but they downplay it because they don't want to be judged negatively. Men up play the amount they think about it because they don't want to be judged negatively.

That's not true because it's the same across all cultures and time periods, so it can't be social conditioning. Men think about sex more because they have testosterone which increases their sex drive. Men and women are different when it comes to sex. For a man, sex isn't much of a commitment. Of course it's still very intimate and meaningful if he's with a woman he loves, but for a man, sex is just sex. But for a woman? Sex is the beginning of 9 months of pregancy and then 2 decades of child-rearing. Women have evolved to be more cautious and selective when choosing a partner to have sex with, while men have evolved to try to have sex as much as possible with as many women as possible. Women control access to sex while men control access to relationships. This brings balance and order. The reason why men try to impregnate as many women as possible is because men have always had much shorter life-spans than women due to males always being the ones to go hunting and fighting, which obviously results in a lot of men dying young, perhaps without ever reproducing and passing on their genes. Humans have twice as many female ancestors than male ancestors simply because so many men died in wars or while hunting. Women are the carers and child-barers while men are the protectors and providers, and of course the role of the protector and provider is inherently more dangerous and potentially deadly. These gender roles are 100% biological, by the way. Men and women will ALWAYS take the exact same gender roles, regardless of which culture or time period they're in.

"The Royal Society has recently released a special issue on sex differences in the brain. It features an opinion piece which argues that human brains do not fall into the two distinct categories of male and female. The piece is partly based on a study from last year: a revolutionary analysis on some 1,400 human brains. The authors looked at the volume of brain regions and connectivity between them to select the areas that differed most between the sexes. For each area, the researchers then designated the upper and lower ends of the spectrum as either “male” or “female”, according to where men or women were more prevalent. If brains truly fell into two distinct categories, we would see brains which had either all “male” or all “female” areas. The study revealed that such consistent brains are indeed rare. Our brains are more like a patchwork quilt, with most people having a mixture of features that are “typical” male, female, or common in both sexes." neurosciencenews.com/neuroscience-brain-sex-4366/

Then why do men and women always act the same and take the same roles, regardless of which culture or time period they come from? Why is it that female-to-male transgenders don't behave, talk or act like men?
