Plaintiff is ridiculous - He "charged" a $5,000 finders fee and he's not even a licensed real estate agent, after the deal was done. And he does this full well knowing his friend doesn't have a lot of money. Then sued for repairs to a car because he was in an accident - defendant wasn't even in the car!

He thought the finder's fee was his alone, forgot his hippie partner found the house for him and deserved the fee more than he did. And the plaintiff was not a licensed anything. And no bank loans anyone on Disability money. NONE! He lied in court about that. Not considered stable income.

friends don't charge friends "finders fees" Also, the whole point of improving a credit score is to buy property at a LOW INTEREST RATE. The plaintiff is an idiot, scammer, user & anything but a friend. If your friendship/help comes with a constant dollar sign attached to it, as it evidently did in this case, then you need to re-evaluate the "value" & trueness of that friendship. I can't believe that this old coot, the plaintiff, actually thought that he was going to be awarded a judgment while coming into the courtroom with absolutely no proof of a contract, either written or verbal. The only thing the plaintiff accomplished today was to show himself to be a fraudulent friend and user to thousands of people watching this episode. He got his "15 minutes of fame" but I think that he would have been better off without it. LOL

I'm not saying that I think the plaintiff deserves $5,000 but I'm also not the one who shook hands and made a deal to pay him $5,000, I don't believe the defendant when he says he didn't agree to pay a $5,000 finder's fee, the reason I don't believe it is because he said that the plaintiff continued going with him to look at homes and try to secure loans even after he said he thought he deserved $5,000 and the defendant supposedly told him no, if somebody told me that they thought they deserve $5,000 for helping me negotiate the cost of a home I wouldn't continue taking them with me to try to purchase the house unless I had agreed to it.
