Nothing makes me feel like a classy, elegant woman like dressing up, drinking champagne, and having dinner on my own before going to a show by myself. I love it. I always take a book or my journal and I just let my brain turn off. It's amazing.

@@ARedVelvetBunnie I'd love to avoid traveling alone but I'm still happy that I'm traveling and visiting places that I always wanted to visit. It is sometimes slightly better alone though, because of the freedom. Like when I was in Switzerland, and the weather was not good for Jungfrau, I quickly decided to just hop on the train and go to Bern for the day without having to worry about anything.

I went on a solo trip to Munich, Rothenburg, and Salzburg a few years ago. It was so scary and daunting but one of the greatest experiences ever. You can do whatever you want, no compromises, and it was so life changing to challenge yourself and come out of the trip knowing you can do absolutely anything. Congrats on doing this Monica! You’re a strong, smart woman and you can conquer anything ♥️

I’m 25 and have been done a solo trip! Been lookin to plan one soon and I love the honesty in this video ! I think once we get over the initial awkwardness of it all , it’ll get better ! And I’m terrible with directions so that’s my biggest fear which is getting lost.

Wow I needed to see this! As a journalist I am always travelling alone. I find the scariest part is when you first get to the airport. I think as soon as you arrive at your destination it can be such a liberating experience. I can't recommend travelling alone enough. You really do learn to be a peace with yourself xx

I think it’s so important to learn how to be by yourself and still have fun and make memories. It makes you stronger knowing you don’t need ANYONE to be happy and thriving, all you need is yourself!! Also helps later in life when you know you can count on yourself. I find solo traveling very therapeutic. ps. Really liked this video Monica, keep it up!!

Monica! This is AWESOME. I loved watching this. Solo travel can be so hit or miss, which can be frustrating. I loved seeing you explore and treat yourself. This is exactly what I want to do when I am out of school and making good money. I have done it before but it's been a while. I think it is so important for young women to travel solo.

I recently ticked off my bucket list traveling solo overseas and went to Bali from Australia. I was incredibly overwhelmed with everything I took in by boy I'm so proud of myself for doing it. You learn alot about yourself by stepping out of your comfort zone especially in foreign territory. As long as you have yourself, you are never alone

I haven’t gone anywhere for fun yet, but I love traveling solo!! I traveled to Honduras and Nicaragua these past two summers and loved the freedom of not waiting on anyone. I did meet up with a group both times, but it sparked my desire to try a solo trip! This was fun to watch, great shots!!

I think when you're taking a trip on your own it's a really good idea to plan out all your activities, places you're gonna eat at and transportation so that way you always know what to do and you don't feel alone

I traveled to Arizona alone, and I’m from the east coast. The only thing was I was going to meet someone so when I got there I wasn’t really alone but I still felt like it. It literally was one of my biggest accomplishments.

I had a layover in Lima, Peru on the way back from a trip and I was by myself for about 12 hours. It’s so easy to feel aimless and like you don’t need to be doing things because there’s no one else there to do them with you, but I am so glad I had the chance to see Lima and its food, views of the Pacific, and people (I spent a lot of time people watching) instead of just sitting where I had been for 6 weeks for another 12 hours!
