▬▬▬▬ Information ▬▬▬▬
Game of Thrones is an American fantasy drama television series created for HBO by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. Based on the fantasy novel series, A Song of Ice and Fire by George R.R. Martin. A Game of Thrones is one of the most successful television series to ever made and continues to captivate audiences all over the world. The series is set on the fictional continents of Westeros and Essos, and interweaves several plot lines with a large ensemble cast. The first narrative arc follows a civil war among several noble houses for the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms; the second covers the attempts to reclaim the throne by the exiled last scion of the realm's deposed ruling dynasty; the third chronicles the rising threat of the impending winter and the legendary creatures and fierce peoples of the North.

"Irri and Jhiqui were (...) Dothraki girls taken as slaves when Drogo destroyed their father's khalasar." Oh, this line... "their father's", not "their fathers' ", this implies Irri and Jhiqi are sisters or half-sisters... and maybe that their father was Khal. Is Irri's and Jhiqui's mom(s) in the Dosh Khaleen? Part of the one-eyed crone conspiracy?

It's interesting that dragons actually haven't been extinct for that long in the story, e.g. Walder Frey's lifespan overlaps with Ser Arlan of Pennytree who saw the the last dragon in his youth. Imagine if we had dragons in the real world but they went extinct as recently as the late 19th Century because Queen Victoria didn't like them much and Oxford academics were possibly poisoning them

that'd be so heartbreaking, but is the future as more and more animal species go extinct :(

That would be extremely realistic, to be fair. We all know how many times that the elites have screwed over the other people just because of their personal favorite/ spite. Just look at how Kyoto survived the nukes. It wasn’t bombed like Hiroshima and Nagasaki because one of the American generals used to travel there so he begged the Allies not to bomb this “nice city”.

I don't think Daenerys being called a Dothraki Khaleesi for Drogo's Khalasar somehow contradicts Viserys being a Westerosi King. Wasn't the idea that Dany is sold off then in exchange Drogo marches his Khalasar to put Viserys on the throne

A theory: Jon is immediately so good at going down and Dany is so good at getting up because they are telepathically gifted. It's more or less about feedback, and they both (not necessarily consciously) receive all the feedback they need through hearing the thoughts. This is why they know exactly what to do. They act like those corpses from "Meathouse Man" brothel.

7:30 Were they though? If they were, you'd think she'd have started showing signs of pregnancy much earlier, seeing how she had sex every night? By the end of the chapter, when they've already crossed the whole Dothraki Sea, she has "a soft swell" that her handmaiden has only started to notice, meaning she's been pregnant for ~4 months. It seems that the quarrel on the ridge happens just a few weeks after the start of the journey.

Sorry Preston but I think it’s logically inconsistent to bash Jorah for breaking his vows, while simultaneously (rightfully) criticising the concept of vows in Jamie’s story.

@josecarbonell1984 5 сағат бұрын
@@mihaelo7333 it comes down to the reason. Does the reason for breaking your oath outweigh the value of keeping your oath? Jamie saved the lives of 1000s. Obviously he’s not in the wrong. Did Jorah save the lives of thousands by betraying videos Viserys? No. His motivation was either self preservation of perversion. Returning to the marriage comparison. It’s one thing to take your kids out of an abusive relationship. It’s another to ditch your spouse at the first difficulty

Not true, she is depressed the chapter after his death and thinks of him in every book after, viserys is quite literally always in dany's mind, you'd have to have skimmed through her chapters without paying attention to come to this conclusion, either that or you let the show version of the character influence how you see the book character.

Preston, when you say the eggs weren't at the wedding what are you referring to? Blood of the Dragon? Because that is clearly there in flashback form in the original chapters. Actually I'd been holding onto this comment until I got to the part where you read that passage in the chapter, but when you did you implied that it was added in this chapter, and not there in Blood of the dragon, but... from what I read it was there? Or do you mean before George actually wrote that? AFAIK we dont have anything written for that, just the outline

I should have gone into this more in the video. Jorah goes back and forth between "Princess" and "Khaleesi" all through AGoT. Generally, he uses princess when he wants her to be reasonable or meek (i.e., "turn away princess."). Khaleesi is for when he wants her to be bold.

Yes Jorah is a bad knight, but isn't that basically one of the central themes around knights in the story? That vows are only as strong as the will and self-interest of those who make them? I mean the whole reason Jorah's even in Essos is because he broke the king's rules and sold slaves lol. He might very well be an asshole, but he also rightfully clocks that Viserys has little power in the khalasar, and hitches his stake with Dany/Drogo instead.
