The one thing I'll put foward about Minato's speed and the off-screen plan is that Minato had time to POTENTIALLY get his kunai (give or take this as you will), plant his kunai for the plan, and still beat the other kage.

Minato in part 1 is deadass the Arthur Dayne of Naruto. That dude has insane aura and story writing wise it would make a lot of sense to me that he’d be the strongest hokage but kishimoto realized how weird the powerscaling would be as you’d have to still make madara threatening and u can’t have Naruto’s dad be the end all be all factor against the final villians so hashirama being the strongest makes sense as well. I think minato can definitely although pretty rarely, pull a win but more often than not hashirama wins.

I think it’s obvious that it was showing that he’s faster than the rest otherwise why would hiruzen complement him about his speed when they arrived. It was the most in your face way of telling us. And even if minato and them planned, he’d have to go get/make kunai if he doesn’t spawn with them and he STILL beat all of them!! And the point on “he’s not actually fast he can just teleport”. So??? So something I just thought of, and I'm wondering if I'm just bugging, but can Minato just... Seal away peoples' abilities? Because I'm thinking back to Minato vs Yellow Mask Obito, and in order to undo Obito's control over Kurama, Minato places a contract seal on him which immediately causes his genjutsu to fail. After this, Obito NEVER tries to genjutsu Kurama again. Hell, he never tries to genjutsu Naruto either to my knowledge, outside of Road to Ninja, which isn't canon. So a fair interpretation of this moment would be that Minato somehow sealed Obito's ability to use sharingan genjutsu, at the very least, on Kurama, and potentially on Kurama and Naruto both. We don't know the limits of this seal or even how it works, to my knowledge (someone please enlighten me if I'm wrong), but if that's the case, he literally just had a seal on hand that could let him place a major restriction on another person's technique. Would it at all be possible for him to adapt this seal to restrict Hashirama's wood release in some way? If not outright nullify it, at least to negate its ability to pacify Kurama's chakra? Because if so, I think the Minato vs Hashirama matchup swings pretty heavily in Minato's favor. He retains the huge speed advantage, and arguably has the AP to actually take Hashirama out if he can get an actual clean, full power hit in on him, which is honestly pretty likely given all of the ways he can use hirashin to get into his guard. Just wondering what other people think about this, or if maybe I'm missing something big here?

Hiruzen managed to combat the bringer of darkness. Minato is a sensory type. If Hiruzen managed it so can Minato. Hiruzen is also shown blocking and evading hits. Minato just out right gets passed it. That's also assuming that Minato hasn't marked him before he uses that technique. If he has, he just starts sealing his abilities away.

There’s no proof that Minato is a sensor type. Even if he was you’d have to prove he’s as capable as Hiruzen for him to be able to replicate his feats. Which you can’t, and Minato countered Bringer of Darkness via using the Inuzuka clan’s sense of smell. Something only Hiruzen, and Kakashi can do.

He also sensed naruto from far away and was able to tell that he linked with kurama. So wdym brodie. Minato is literally the one who senses the amount of chakra juubidara had in comparison to juubito. And said that his quantity is bigger than juubitos… also tobirama and minato were the only hokage that was able to sense madara and the war when they revived. He was also able to sense the quantity of chakra in kurama.

@@kita7823 Minato isn’t a sensor type ninja. What part of that are you not understanding? Minato was able to sense Kurama’s chakra from Konoha because he is a Jinchuuriki of Kurama like Naruto. Moving on from that only Tobirama could sense Madara from Konoha, and Hashirama was the one who stated Juubi Obito was stronger than him.

He definitely got the speed to land hits on hashirama and maybe even a win con if he can get some crazy seals off But like, one of them died as a result of a fight with a weaker Uchiha and weaker nine tails And the other fought a MAJESTIC ATTIRE ninetails controlled by EMS Madara and won Unless you wank him or only use edo, Minato wins maybe 1/10 times if you use Alive vs Alive But I'm only like 5 mins in so my opinion can change

Naruto is more like a rock paper scissors anime to me. Like yeah hashirama beat a harder but similar circumstance but that was like a brute force type of fight. Minato was fighting a BFR merchant and still won and then if it wasn’t for his wife literally being in labor and sons life being in danger I’m pretty positive he could’ve done something better regarding the 9 tails especially after seeing the minato one shot where his underdeveloped rasengan combatted an underdeveloped nerfed tailed beast bomb. And again he can just teleport TBB. imagine him just teleporting a TBB on top of kurama or something like that. But anyways I agree that narratively it’s just implied that hasirama is better. But I’d say that in part 1 from a story writing perspective it seemed like kishi wanted minato to be the strongest before all the reviving war shippuden nonsense.
