The first I knew of this station was filming as an air raid shelter for the film Battle of Britain, set in 1940 and filmed in 1968/9. I didn't realise it was closed to passengers much later. Thanks for posting. I'm afraid that my ancient creaking bones nowadays mean those stairs will be too much for me!

@@blackyellowred2000 Accent and pronunciation are different things. I'm not a Londoner, but have noted, over the years, how Holborn is pronounced. No shame in not knowing: our language is full of traps and I would probably falter at some Midlands words and welcome someone correcting me.
