Years ago The Wire did it best, one character (Rawls) who is a highly ranked police officer suddenly shows up in the background of a scene set in a gay bar, after that it was never talked about or even referenced, which to my mind is probably the wokest thing you could do because they didn't try to create a story line around the fact or use any stereotypes, no they left it at that because it shouldn't need to be explained or pushed into your face which is the mistake most modern shows make, if it doesn't move the story along we don't need to know the ins and outs or worse shows telling us how we should feel.

It's not even that there is a woke element in a show. A show can have minority people or cover a topic of oppression or marginalization and still be great. The real issue is that it's a canary in the coal mine. It's representative that the writing is terrible and the team was focused on the wrong thing, rather than being focus on making a great movie/show/game. There is also likely less skill and merit in those types of teams.
