I would have to agree with you there. Gojira may not have the most complex guitar stuff but I have learned that playing Gojira will obliterate your right hand lol. Some of their rhythms are tough to play well lol

Try discovering Meshuggah's time signatures, they're way weirder than 13/16
@MoiseDosSantos3 жыл бұрын
@@DevanArya i think most of them are actually 4/4 hahaha its just their guitar patterns and drum patterns that dont really match up that creates that illusion
@BORN7533 жыл бұрын
If you listen to drums and snare hits you can hear that this part is in 4/4 (snare hit on 2 and 4), it's just that Nick doing his transcriptions does them from a guitarist point of view (with which I don't agree as guitar is not creating a pulse, so learning to play guitar part without a reference to drums imo is harded), so that it looks like the patter is repeating, but if you look at drums in 13/16 you're gonna see that the snare is put almost randomly (on first 13/16 bar snare hits on 13th beat etc.), and if you put guitar in 4/4 then drums (snare and hi-hats) gonna look normal, but the pattern of guitar and bass drum is gonna be shifting every 13/16, so at the second 4/4 pattern will start from the 4th note (16 - 13 = 3 notes of a pattern in first 4/4), at third 4/4 from 6th (13 - 3) note etc. If you sum up a total number of beats 13 * 8 and divide it by 16 you're gonna get 6.5 4/4 bars (13*8 = 16*6.5 = 104), so you're just gonna have six 4/4 bars and one 2/4, and a 13/16 pattern superimposed over it. Like if you listen to a song you're not gonna notice 13/16 because you'll hear 4/4 with strange rhythm over it that repeats quicker than 4/4. Also didn't Stravinsky had some crazy time signatures in The Rite of Spring?

Awesome job 🔥 Question: How do you recognize those time signatures? I tried to write guitar pro tabs but It sounded wrong because I couldn't recognize what time signature they had and even when they were 4/4 it sounded wrong! How can I learn that?
@michaeldominguez30812 жыл бұрын
It’s basically, top number is how many (beats) and the bottom is of what, so a 4/4 is 4 quarter notes per measure, the 4 being the amount and quarter being the bottom 4 which stands for 1/4
