Someone is going to be very happy with your results. Beautiful creek with nice gold. Look for the hole under the tree. Thanks. Be safe and have a great day.

One of a few things I haven’t done yet ..... prospecting in the dark/ making a video in the dark. Hats off to you and great job!

Makes it harder for sure. We had light though, the landowners house it 50-100 feet away from the creek. We always find in winter our prospecting carries into the evening when it can be done safely.

Another awesome video ! . My cousin just recently started working in B.C . cutting trees and whatnot for powerlines or something ... But told him to fill up a ziplock of sand from anywhere!! lmao . Hope to visit there someday .aside from the gold tho . the scenery is just as appealing .

Great 1st pan of gold! I'm not a fan of snow, but gold outweighs a little snow.

When sampling along a stream bed with no obvious rock bottom , how deep would you sample ? Only as far as the moss roots ?
@911mining5 жыл бұрын
As deep as you can go. The larger the rock the bigger the gold. If your just sampling for presence of gold moss mat samples work well for float gold. Anywhere there's a low pressure point where rocks and gold have settled out.

Imagine if that was all sulfate... ~( 'w')/ I'm guessing that the fine stuff is regular silica sand?

how many ounces of gold you get at one outing?
@911mining5 жыл бұрын
You would never get an ounce from panning alone. Panning isn't the best way for recovery it's not efficient. Panning is meant for sampling. Moat from a day of panning at the ultimate placer was probably 5-6 grams between 3 people mind you the hike took away half the day.

Just run a giant vacuum cleaner up the creek... ~( 'w')/

Yeah ! Great idea ! A battery charged Back pack from Cheaper's Vacuums in Winfield , BC !

@@jamesoliver5688 The vacuum dredges employed these days are actually gasoline powered and can run 10 hours nonstop. They are by no means small enough to be mounted as a backpack of course, typically weighing about 300 lbs, but they can dredge acres of creek in the hands of experienced prospectors.
