Great video. Informative and the information flows together nicely. Nothing feels choppy. Well spoken. Also going into a Hero Ages are where it's at. Twice a game and make sure you go into a Heroic age for the Atomic Era if your game makes it that far. Heroic Ages are the best!

I think hitting the medieval or renaissance age in dark age and reaching heroic age after either of those would be most beneficial

Did I miss it ? How is the next eras needed point calculated? Is a golden more point of you were just in a golden?

Promote units, progress through the tech tree, find a wonder, settle near a wonder, there's a plethora or you can just play and find out pretty simply as as opposed to getting salty because you pressed on the wrong video

So...posted in an earlier episode that I have been playing along with this series via game and map seeds. As I stated then, some things have gone a bit differently due to randomization. Here at Turn 41, I have also entered a new era, but I achieved a Golden Era. It brings a curious point. Exodus of the Evangelists gives a movement bonus to Missionaries, Apostles, and Inquisitors and newly trained ones get a Charge Bonus. The curious bit is it grants +4 Great Prophet points per turn. If I already have a religion by founding it with a Great Prophet, what good does that do me? The GP window says I can't recruit one. I thought I heard you say that one is all I will ever get.

Correct! It does you zero good. The game's mechanics are a little silly with regard to Great Prophet points.

As of the newest expansion, Gathering Storm, this is no longer the case. Excess Great person points you generate are now automatically converted into Faith for your Civilization. This is especially true for Prophet's, but if you're holding off on getting any other kind of Great person because you want the one after the next, you'll get Faith out of the excess points generated while you wait. Just thought I should let you know; I recently returned to playing and won a religious victory with Georgia. Noticed while I tabbed over my Faith generation that some of it was due to excess great person points apparently. So yeah, that's interesting.
