Just found your channel and couldn't be more thrilled! It's hard to find authentic Hungarian recipes in English descriptions and measurements. Thank you!

Is the creme strictly traditional, or a recent innovation? We used to have this every Christmas morning when I was young, but I never heard of the creme until recently. I've made this several times over the years, and it's a labor of love, and always brings me back to sweet days. My grandmother would add bits of apricot jam in-between ball layers for moisture, but then she put jam in *everything*

Many thanks for your kind comment! I'm not sure if adding custard is old or new - I ate this way in my childhood too. Maybe it varies by regions in Hungary. But adding apricot jam sounds really good, I'll definitely try it next time :D

Szia! Jól látom, hogy a "vanília sodóból" kimaradt a tojásfehérje hab? :)
