Golden Gate Railroad Museum Locomotive Move Featuring: SP 2472, 3194 and 1487!

After sitting dormant for 5 years in the back of Brightside Yard, SP 2472, GP9 #3194, and Fairbanks Morse #1487 were taken through Niles Canyon one last time with the assistance of SP's 5623 and 1195. The locomotives were brought to Hearst Siding and Interchange with the Union Pacific Railroad and left there for later pick up by UP. I caught both the Niles Canyon Railway and Union Pacific moves of this unique lashup! Be sure to watch all the way through for some great rail action you won't want to miss!

Love it! I wish they could have a Southern Pacific Train-Master H-24-66 built by Fairbanks-Morse locomotives since it was commutes between San Francisco and San Jose during in the 50 to 70ish with a full front nose typed and a huge Mar light glass style, is a warning device to notification other engineers during occasionally light is activity while stopping on middle passengers platforms for the passengers are crossing the tracks plus, a red Mar light to oncoming direction as a warned engineer if any object are blocking on track for them to stop too.

RTS4018 none of them run, now a GGRM volunteer said that they’re trying to restore 2472 before her 2 boiler year inspection.
