GoldenEye 007 N64 - Silo Remake (Includes Silo X)

Sorry it's taken so long to get this one out. I've been a bit busy with life over the past weeks, so I've chipped away at this with the little bits of free time I've had.
I really hope I've not butchered this one as I know it's quite a favourite of a lot of people.

I love how these actually sound like remasters that could be put into something like the XBLA Goldeneye and not some random mess of instruments making it sound almost unrecognizable.

Hey man, thanks so much for the kind words. Im glad you said that as that's exactly why I started doing these. After playing the XBLA version, I had a little idea in my head to do a faithful remake of Dam. I then decided to make it a project to do the whole OST. I think I remember you saying Silo was one of your favourites? Well I hope It didn't disappoint ☺️

This is really good. It sounds like OST+, basically like a remaster. This is what should've been in the re-release. I really hope you do the entire soundtrack, man! Surface II + Surface II X, as well as Aztec are some of the best ones in my opinion. Of course Control and Cradle are amazing too.

Yeah me too, I think its such a good ending track to the game, aside from the 2 bonus levels. I appreciate the track even more after realising the intro sounds similar to the track Run, Shoot and Jump from the flims OST. Thanks for stopping by and listening.

@@AwakenedAvocado yeah im pretty sure Frigate and Silo were composed by Grant Kirkhope, they share mostly the same instruments. I think Frigate X has similarities with Silo X definitely. There's also the Orchestral Hits that make them sound similar.

Thankyou for checking my video out. I've had a few people say that to me now which makes me extremely happy as that was the idea in mind when I first started this project. I like to see it as giving the tracks a new lick of paint. I'm sure there'd be a way for someone to incorporate these tracks on the XBLA version. I'd honestly be thrilled if someone was willing to do it.

I know there are people that disapprove of remakes due to it being a case of "if its not broken, don't fix it" and that things should just be left in the past. I love the OST to this game and just wanted to make each track shine that little bit more without the compression due to the N64's limitations. I never even noticed that until now. It wouldn't surprise me if that's where the inspiration come from as Grant Kirkhope has talked about taking ideas from certain songs when composing the soundtrack.
