Brosnan's natural charisma and mastery of facial expressions made his version of Bond unforgettable... Some like to criticize the supposed "emptiness" of his character, but I find some of his quiet moments quite believable. He's levels above so called "acting" of today's Hollywood.

For some people he’s a great bond for some he is not. I guess it depends on what you’re looking for. we have been lucky to have some of the most dedicated gentleman play this role of the British spy. I don’t think there has been a bad bond but you prefer who you prefer and I think it at least has a lot to do with who we grew up on. I know classic bond fans are not going to view goldeneye and Pierce brosnan films in a high regard because they grew up on Connery or others who came before. It has to do with our perspective, and what we grew up watching.

I'm half convinced that they gave the guys a basic script for these scenes but told them that they could improvise some parts. the Bond Quips like writing on the wall, the pen, the writing is on the wall with them on edge of cracking up. it feels like at times they have this serious script made for the scene, but they were given some leeway to have fun with it.

Brosnan is the true James Bond: very english, elegant, incredibly handsome and charismatic, with a sense of humor while all the time you could not treat him not seriously because you could feel you had to do with a specialist. That's pure class. Craig was good but his character was not really Bond. Just a great special agent like many others.

Craig Bond was too dark
@AntonNight3 жыл бұрын
I’d argue that Craig started out very much like Brosnan’s Bond. Lighter hearted, witty and optimistic. The difference is that Craig’s bond had something Brosnan’s didn’t: continuity. Different Bond films may as well have happened in their own standalone universe for all intents and purposes. Each ended with Bond hooking up with a different woman. But in Craig’s, the only time that happens is at the end of Spectre, and we see it carry over to No Time to Die. In previous Bond films, every ‘Bond girl’ who died was typically forgotten quickly and the effect of their deaths never carried over. Vesper Lynd’s in Casino Royale carried over four films after the fact. So did Craig Bond’s development from a trusting and idealistic new agent to a gritty, wounded animal of a man who closed himself off because of loss and betrayal. So I argue that Craig’s Bond wasn’t doing dark…he was too real.

The single funniest scene in James Bond history. The contrast between this and the rest of the film is made even more apparent by the fact that GoldenEye is a quite moody and dark Bond film, both in themes and aesthetic direction. It's almost like the film switched directors for this one scene - it's very much akin to a scene from a Naked Gun film.

I would have to say that out of all the James Bond films involving Q, portrayed by the late-Desmond Llewellyn, this particular scene is my favorite. Bond must have thought that it was a weapon of some sort before Q tells him that it's his lunch.
