It’s shut down some years ago after the sale of the GPAA around 2016/17 maybe. There are now 3 main gold camps you can stay at in Alaska mining and keeping what you find. Skookum gold camp in Central, AKAU in Nome & the gold camp at chicken Alaska. Each one offers a slightly different experience but are all grate. My favourite being Skookum followed by AKAU. Hope that helps
