Fantastic video! One question: Since the ball is played back in our stance, which I assume would probably promote a push, should we line up and aim slightly left? Or is there something about swinging on a downhill slope that would make this unnecessary.

Great video on downhill lies. My wife is an 11 handicap and struggles with this shot, especially over water or junk. so say she has 120 yds with a downhill lie over water to our island green with bunkers in front of the green, I know she needs less club but no matter what club she chooses, there is a mental part of this shot with the water. Many women struggle with this downhill lie shot at our club and hit it in the water. They may hit this shot ok if it was all fairway. Any suggestions on this situation other than the technique you share in the video? thanks. Dr Tracy Powell

Taking the more lofted club as he did should get you a little more height. But I feel like doing the opening of the face etc will bring in a chance of blading the shot

Say you’re downhill but the green goes back uphill does this change? Or vise versa say your uphill lie but the green goes back downhill? Club selection change anything different?
