Great advice. The “ evidence based practice” suggestion is really solid stuff. Shorter backswing, 1 more club, full speed practice swing and validating that yes indeed gravity will win all seem like best practices. Thanks.

Chris, great video as usual, one thing you could have commented on was the fact that you ended up hitting it a bit right of target but because you aimed center of the green you didn't miss the green right. Thanks for you clear and insightful help.

I’m watching this because I was just in this situation and the ball was below my feet and I was told the ball will to the right more but it didn’t it went way left and your explanation made perfect since and I’m great full for that. Thanks👍😃🏌🏼

Chris: In my humble opinion, the reason why you tend to go left when ball is below your feet is because your feet are square to the target. The reason why alot of people tend to fade/slice from that lie is most people try to find a balanced stance from every lie, which in this case will be a trail leg forward of the leading leg, promoting a pull/fade to a pull/slice. Thanks for the great content!

Great video. I was looking for more info on pulling shots off this lie. I also tend to hit left of target on these. Never understood why before when most people say to expect it to cut. Watching golf on Sky just now and one of the commentators mentioned people often pull these shots due to the heel hitting the ground first, which turns the face left (as per out of rough). Makes sense - have you heard / thought of this before? Thanks.

On both awkward lie and flat land, does your set up and swing sequence stay the same for all irons, or does it slightly change more towards the long irons? Your explanations on all your video's are great and are really helping me improve my game!

taylblue swing would be the same in terms of your intent, however the set up tweaks would mean there are some changes to how the club and the body move. Key would be to adjust set up accordingly and then try to make your normal swing
