Outside of golf i do amateur motorsport called autocross. Ive definitely had days when i was checked out racing, nothing was going right and a big part of me wanted to pack up and go home. It was always the positive attitudes of well chosen friends that kept me with it and making a good day out of frustrating performance.

I’ve been enjoying Gold Sidekick’s insights and philosophy on golf. I’ve been struggling to break 100 consistently so watched all the “how to” segments for breaking100 and 90. Then embraced the “way of the playa” with only 4 clubs in my bag (rescue, 9 iron, 54 degree and putter). I shot am 88! No disasters in the rough with my driver. I approached each hole working back from the green, kept the ball in play and chipped from 30 meters as planned. Kept saying to myself “just GIOTG”. The best advice was “play the course, don’t let it play you”. Thanks Matt! Now once I’ve mastered these clubs I’ll add others to my bag when I’m ready. 👍

The way he treats his caddies, playfully joking with them, “no birdie no tip.” The way he focuses on course management and not swing tips. No click bait. Besides golf, I like to filter through others comments and tut at the Sheila's giving unsolicited swing advice to those that are far better golfers than they'll ever be, and giggle at the funniest ones that make it clear with unclear instruction about what not do when doing something that they believe others should not be doing when doing their swing. Cool been waiting for your next vid....i used to play with a scratch player who told me you i would struggle a bit on the course when trying to make swing changes but the lower scores will come if you put the work in on the range..... Quick question... Last year I was fitted for Taylormade sim Max as a beginner, but I then bought online Cobra SZ Driver and 3W, 5W which clearly outperform (for me anyway) the TM clubs. I much prefer hitting my cobra fairway woods, compared to the TM hybrids I have or a long iron. You have mentioned on your breaking 80 vid the benefit of a 7W, and was wondering why you suggested that? Thinking about getting a cobra 7W in the bag or a hybrid Okay that wasn’t such a quick question Fellow former cricketer turned golf addict
