Very nice video...can small jig (e.g. 40 grm) use where the current are strong....? .. i use to fish in southern island singapore..and normally is bottom fishing only...
@RapalaSoutheastAsia
@RapalaSoutheastAsia 9 жыл бұрын
Hi fofen1, it depends on how strong the current is at the location you're fishing at. It's always good to arm yourself with a range of jig weights when you go to a given location. It's also good to check with the local anglers or captain as they would be the best to advise you which jig weights, sizes and types would be best for a given location and season. Hope this info helps.

@RapalaSoutheastAsia
@RapalaSoutheastAsia 10 жыл бұрын
Thank you Fat Lexx, the PE1-3 is stronger rod than the PE0.8-1.5 and can handle heavier jig weights.

Im All in to these rods! Just have one question that i wasnt able to see in your other comment response. This Gomoku Erito 0,8-1,5 - is that the lightets rod in the range (or most suitable rod) for the 40g jig you are using there? On storms website it looks like there is a rod up to 40g (max jig weight) and one up to 120 G max jig weight. Is the >120 rod really that bendy with a 40g jig? Or is it the up to >40g jig rod used in the clips :-) Anyway Im getting one! Nice videos guys!!!

What type/brand or tip for assist hooks? Skirted or non-skirted? Any advice on jig weight to water depth setup? Many thanks!
@RapalaSoutheastAsia
@RapalaSoutheastAsia 9 жыл бұрын
+dragbitefight We normally use VMC7117 for slow-jigging tied with UV flash. It's hard to pin an exact jig weight to depth as there are factors to consider such as current (fast or slow) too. It's best to go out there and try various jig weights to see what weight is best for the area you're fishing. As long as the jig is reaching the bottom without having line drift too far away in the current on a drift, you're pretty much fishing the right weight. Try to get away with a lighter weight as much as you can, as the fluttering action while the jig is dropping with the current will be more natural. Too light and it takes too long to reach the bottom. Too heavy and the jig will drop rather unnatural/abruptly. Hope this helps!

Greetings! I wanted to know whether it is possible to fish jigging or slow pitce in the night or no benefit from this type of fishing
@RapalaSoutheastAsia
@RapalaSoutheastAsia 8 жыл бұрын
+‫אליהו דדון‬‎ Hi, yes its definitely possible to slow jig at night but there are risks and dangers involved in drifting at night since visibility is limited. The captain needs to be very sure of what he is doing, especially so if the fishing spot is near a reef. Always stay safe and avoid unnecessary risks. :)

Can this type of rod set up also be use for spinning like for example deep diver crank bait? Or that will need a different rod and reels?
@RapalaSoutheastAsia
@RapalaSoutheastAsia 6 жыл бұрын
Hi Adrian Lim, This might not be suitable for cranking deep drivers as you may need some distance for deep drivers and this rod is not design for casting hence it's not suitable. A slower speed bait cast reels like 6.3 or 7.3, are likely to be more suitable for your case. Rapala Rapalero is one that i would recommend you for your application. www.fishonmag.com/rapalero-2018/ Thank you for having interest in our products! Have a nice day ahead!

@RapalaSoutheastAsia
@RapalaSoutheastAsia 8 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry Bambang as we're not too familiar with Penn Clash. High gear or low is actually a personal preference depending on angler and jigging style too. I personally prefer low gear for jigging the heavier jigs.
