I'm watching the show again......and to me killua isn't trying to act as a big bro or as a leader..... he's more like a really good friend, who you easily get comfortable around, trust me my friends act the same way when I do something stupid, while my big sis is just like "whatever", he's the smarter one of the the two with immense loyalty towards his friends, that's just how he acts like....that's all...he's just really comfortable around gon now... but still I really enjoyed the video...can't wait for more :D

*Happy dance* Woooooooo the series is back! I love these so much, so I'm glad to see another episode. Also, I'm apologizing right now but here is another super long comment as always....Brace yourself. Man, it feels great knowing someone else noticed Gon and Killua make the same facial expressions/have the same reactions to situations. I remember coming across a picture collage someone made that actually showed every panel of the manga where they are together making the same face and I think the count was at 24.(I don't remember, it's been a while since I saw this also it probably took a really long time also so kudos whoever made it). I too thought the "Ossu!" part was great, and I laughed because that's something little kids all the time and it hit me: "Oh god, they are twelve. One of them has probably murdered at least 50 full grown men. BUT THEY'RE TWELVE." Also, great job pointing out Killua's statement that he believes Gon won't break a promise twice, even though he has no basis for that except his opinion on Gon's personality. Another thing I'm pretty sure you noticed, yet just didn't include, is how apparent it is (and foreshadowing) that Killua is now, and will be in the future, "flipping his switch on", as he says, only when Gon is in trouble, yet for no other occasion. This arc really marks the first instance that Killua is mentally changing. We are starting to see parts here and there (such as Killua becoming embarrassed when flattered and being kind of a pushover when complimented, making up lies to Wing-san about how long it will take Gon to recover, and even changing his fighting schedule around to better accommodate Gon's) where Killua is almost "giving in" to Gon's mentality or wants, much like how we see in greater detail later on such as in Greed Island and the Chimera Ant Arc. It's almost foreshadowing to what Gon says later on in the YorkNew Arc (I believe this is where this dialogue happens), something along the lines of: "Don't worry, I'll convince Killua". Almost as if he knows that Killua may be the "leader", but it's pretty much just an act, since ultimately, when it comes to Gon at least, Killua will always go along with what he says. Not only this, but Gon is also now showing instances that he knows he has this power, such as how you mentioned at 0:50 , which only further contrasts to how he kind of abuses such a position later on in the anime/manga. ...once again sorry for such a long comment, I just love how in depth these videos are and I can't help but want to add in what I noticed as well.

Killua wanted to stop playing with netero on airship, but gon said he was going to continue. I'm sure there are other moments where gon does what he wants....greed island etc.

+Steve mamo That's true. I didn't mean to insinuate that Gon does whatever Killua tells him. What I meant was that Gon understands Killua's personality more now so when Killua suggests they reach the top of the tower Gon just plays along to let Killua feel like he's making decisions.

I'm really curious to see where you'll go with this video series. Especially what your thoughts are on the gon and killua split off at the end of the anime. Now that Killua has witnessed a really dark side of gon during the CA act and Killua being reunited with Alluka. His friendship with Gon is no longer important for his own happiness and well being. While Gon on the other hand is alone and without nen (in a way now gon is restricted) and the roles between him and Killua are getting reversed.

The Schwing is too iconic at this point for me to recognize any other translation. But I'd be interesting to see what else was different.

Hey neria thanks for all your great content on hxh. I have a question that I asked aleczandxr as well, as you two are the best hxh tubers that I can think of. I'll give a much less long-winded version of that post here. I wanted to know your take on whether the continuance of hxh past where the anime ended diminishes from the story at all. As much as I love hxh, I'm trying to decide whether I actually want to continue reading it or not, as I feel like the chimer ant arc and by extension the chairman arc (which imo is really just a sort of continuation/aftermath of the events of the chimera ant arc) were really the conclusion of the series. Gon found Ging as was his intention all along, and so the story has been told. I don't know much about the Dark Continent arc, but from what you've read, does the story continue to focus on Gon and/or Killua? Becuase I'm honestly not really interested if it doesn't. If you could try to answer this question without spoilers that'd be great. Thanks!

If you consider the Election Arc an extension of the Chimera Ant arc then you should consider the DC arc an extension of that since the Chimera Ants and Nanika come from the Dark Continent. I think you should absolutely continue reading. Gon and Killua are not present in the current arc but who knows what might happen. It's hard to explain without spoiling some minor details but Gon may seek out Ging one more time (based on a conversation he has with Aunt Mito in the manga). If you stop reading you'll miss one of the best (if not THE best) fights in all of HxH as well as more Kurapika, Leorio, Ging, Pariston, the Zodiac, and much more. People are really hyped for this arc. However, if you continue just know that you'll have to deal with Togashi's long hiatuses.

nice video, but i don't see killua as the big brother type, as gon lectures killua sometimes as well ( in gambling and other stuff) also, isn't gon older than killua? the anime/manga never portrayed them as brothers or even mention something close to brothers, just best friends

Thank you :) When I discuss Killua's role as a leader or big brother type I mean specifically in these first few arcs because of the way he teaches Gon about the world around him and influences how they spend their time. We will definitely see a shift in York New. I'll discuss that in Shinyuu 6. which I happen to be writing right now :3
