Manchester piano trio GoGo Penguin were hotly tipped as the rising stars of the UK Jazz scene. Influences from Aphex Twin to Brian Eno, Debussy to Shostakovich and Massive Attack ... The debut album Fanfares was nominated for best jazz album at the World Wide Awards. Personnel: Chris Illingworth: piano; Grant Russell: bass: Rob Turner: drums. Recorded between 3rd - 7th January 2012; released November 19, 2012.
