I spend every day walking around the grave yard opposite my house, it is alive with nature, and a really perfect place for thoought and reflection, it never occurs to me to enter the church, but the garden around it I love. My cats join me there most days.. a real sanctuary.

Just a note to file about the noise in the environment you live in. I feel blessed, entirely blessed to simply turned my head and see Nature in the backyard, front yard, side yard, the quiet solitude of being located at base of large mountain (large in Alaska is small). Blessed. If I could package it, would mail it to you and be there is two days. 🤪 Blessed not a great word, in fact I'm running out of words. Opened my eyes this morning, did not put feet on floor until realizing that "this is all there is". Refreshing the screen. Thank you sincerely from somewhere inside the light of what "This" is. I don't know except it sounds like truth.😵‍💫

Hi, Suzanne, This clarity you have to smile at what you see still playing out for others seems fundamental to why you are such a helpful presence and voice. Ironic (yet increasingly obvious 😎) that not really caring about other people’s suffering makes the attention you pay all the more potent. Mirrors don’t care, they just reflect? I feel like I’m in this odd no-man’s land between being drawn/compelled to the truth you point to, while functionally still being driven by character and story. So your unconcerned message and attention feels perfectly suited to where I am, and where I still convince myself I’m not. Feels like such a blessing… 🙏🏼🔥💕🍁😎

My wife complains that I have lost my empathy. I don't think that's true, but it seems that way to her. The point might be that I am less inclined to "appease" emotional states. When I see a person struggling with their ideas and their "environment", I no longer have the immediate reflex to respond in a way that the person would perceive as "helping" them. This doesn't mean that I don't acknowledge the acute suffering or that I am unwilling to support them. But the support that can really be given is usually not the kind of support the person would have in mind.

People gotta learn that their issues are their issues. Wanting others to fill some hero role, who comes to their rescue is just not reality. We all have both pleasant and unpleasant experience in our stories. Regardless of which it is, it's your experience. Not someone else's. Sadly most just want ego validation.

Who taught a cemetery could be a happy place . The true it’s we can make a hell of any place we go to , sometimes we think that if we go to some exotic place that would turn our reality into heaven then we go and we discover that we just take our hell around . Yes a cemetery can be a blissful place if we have awareness and we stop projecting our mood on what it’s around us . I lived in three countries and from pure experience I now understand it’s mainly about mindset nowhere it’s perfect really.

Well said about the plane noise, Johnny. I don’t begrudge anyone their irritation, as I’ve voiced plenty of my own in this life. But when I was as young as Suzanne, I didn’t know that conversations or potentials like this even existed. So, for me, I’ll gladly listen through some jet engine roar to hear something so precious… 🙏🏼🔥✈️💙

Not complaining here but can tell you that this bodies nervous system clenches at loud and discordant sounds. And the body tenses and has construction. I've been blessed living in the country and at least 4 hours from a city so there are no flight patterns go past and it felt shocking how loud and consistent the plane sounds are.
@KK-sg5gl
@KK-sg5gl Жыл бұрын
If a noise was so loud that it made your ears bleed, would that be a problem? There is always a cutoff point where one can not just simply ignore the noise and say it doesn’t bother them. And since everyone is different, that cutoff point will be different. Some people will have more sensitive hearing than you. Some less. Even certain animals would migrate away from this constant noise or face local extinction from it.

hey, do you still feel social anxiety now ? the body here is really conditionned to do so, obviously "i" cannot do anything about it, but the physical contraction is still intensely there. Any advice ? Thanks so much for your videos xxx
@macparker3549
@macparker3549 Жыл бұрын
I don’t know if Suzanne will answer, but your sincere question seems to deserve a response, even if it’s just from some old guy you don’t know. 😎 In my experience, tenderness is so fundamental in these places. Labels are obviously limited, but the kind of contraction you describe always seems rooted in fear, insecurity, and deep, vulnerable wounding. I am learning, slowly, over many years, to meet these contractions with great tenderness. Not to pressure them into doing better or even disappearing, but to be gentle, attentive, and patient. At least for me, this will always, eventually, reveal the nature of the wound. Don’t rush yourself. And do your best to welcome whatever shows its face. Given tenderness and relaxed attention, it will show what it wants and needs. There is no timeline. Some people seem to melt and open quickly. I have grown frustrated and wondered what is wrong with me (!?) because my melting can seem glacial in comparison. But it’s still melting, it’s still a softening of the contraction, however gradual, whatever its pace. And that tenderness we show ourselves becomes a way of meeting everything that arises, and everyone and everything we meet. All the best to you. Lovely question… 🙏🏼🔥💙

I've heard her say in previous videos essentially the notion that there isn't anxiety anymore bc no one and nothing exists to feel anxious about
@minimal3734
@minimal3734 Жыл бұрын
Social anxiety appears as a problem because you identify with it. Recognize that anxiety and every other feeling is an appearance. It's not necessary to jump right into it, that's just a stubborn habit. When you realize that you are the background against which everything appears, the fixation on the feeling disappears, and with it, gradually, the cause of the feeling.
